Spoiler alert for Main Quest - I wouldn't read ahead if you haven't done this part of it yet.

Anyways.

So at around the part when you help Septimus so he will help you with recovering the Elder Scroll. I did everything for him, and opened that large dwemer object in the cave he is in which results in the subsequent death of Septimus. I explored every speech option with Septimus prior and everything so I should have gained all possible knowledge from him that I can.

Know in my quest log, for recover the elder scrolls there is no verbal information on where it is lcoated, and it keeps be on bringing me back to random dungeons I have already explored, and when i travel there and follow the quest arrow it will change to somewhere else. It seems to cycle between just a couple different ruins I have recently explored, including the one where I powered up the lexicon (also under Septimus guidance).

Since I apparently am stuck I was hoping for actually concrete information on where to go. A similar issue actually happened to me during the civil war quest line, but I just went to where you were actually supposed to go to and my game updated everything to that point.

Again I did everything with powering up the lexicon, and I harvested the elf blood (which I think was a side quest with septimus not a main quest) - my point being I couldn't do/get anymore out of him, just the quest never updated.

I actually miss the journal system when this happens because it usually had the concrete description of where you were going if the game bugged out .

Anyways I would love to know where you have to go after this point in the main quest to recover the elder scroll. IE name of a dungeon and where it is (like slightly northeast of X directly below Y).

The spoiler alert on the thread title is a bit "late". People will go "oh holy crap, an elder scroll!"

Thankfully I knew about it already but this may ruin it for some people.
