Having to cast Armor spells over and over again makes Alteration fairly lackluster compared to the other two defense skills. In an attempt to make Alteration more viable, this addon adds maintainable versions of Oakflesh, Stoneflesh, Ironflesh, and Ebonyflesh which last forever (86313600 seconds actually, the same as all infinite effects) but cost you concentration which affects your magicka regen.
The Stability perk in the Alteration tree now also cuts the concentration cost / magicka regen penalty of these spells in half.
There is a new spell, Dispel Armor, which will allow you to remove the new armor spells and reclaim your mana regeneration.
All the new spells are sold by the usual vendors alongside the vanilla versions.
Note that due to a bug in the vanilla UI, spells with multiple active effects do not list effects properly in "Active Effects", they show the correct effect name but the effect always shows the first effect. In this instance, the Concentration debuff reads the same as the armor buff even though it decreases magicka regen. I know of no way to change this. You can see your actual magicka regen by timing it with the shield on and off, which is how I tested it. Any spell with a negative effect also has all its positive effects show up in red, so even the Armor buff will show up red. These are both merely display issues.
Unless you have Stability, you will have two Concentration debuffs. Having Stability removes one of them.
As you get Alteration perks that increase armor spell effects, you have to cast Dispel Armor and then recast the Armor spell to have the increased effect.
I can't seem to post links, perhaps because I'm a forum noob? In any case, this mod is available on Steam Workshop, id 9806
