Quest:
High King/Queen of Skyrim: Okay, so, you can become the leader of every faction, You are the dragonborn, defeater of the world-eater. Your actions decide the outcome of the civil war. You can become thane of every hold. I'd like to have the ability to say F-U to both sides of the war (either during, or after the fact) and be able to challenge the High Queen (and her Imperial lap dogs) or Ulfric for the crown.... I mean, come on, I'm practically Queen already.
The Imperials/The Stormcloaks: Both sides have many camps within Skyrim. Yet I cant seem to compleatly wipe them out. I want the ability to do so. There-by pushing the rements Imperial army or the rements of the Stormcloak rebels out of Skyrim for good.
Thalmor: I want the ability to deal with the Thalmor, either kick them out of Skyrim for good, and bringing back the worship of Talos for all in the north. Or to help them crush the Talos worshiping hieratic.
Blades vs Graybeards: (spoilers: Dragonborn main-quest) There comes a point in the Main-quest, where the Blades tell you that you need to kill Parthanex (sp?) for his crimes a thousand+ years ago. You can't convince them that he changed, that the fact hes spent all this time teaching humans how to shout should make up for his crimes. You are simply told to either kill the dragon, or the Blades wont help you any more.
I would like to see something come from this ultimatum.
I want to see the Blades actually recruit people on their own. I want to see them come after me if I refuse. Or try to go after Parthanex themselves. - I want to have to wipe out the Blades. And be made a Graybeard (at least given their robes, maybe a secret shout for my efforts.. something badass....the ability to Ride a dragon?! =D)
On the flip side. If I do kill Parthanex, I want the Graybeards to come after me. I want them to get *pissed* that I killed their master. I want the people of Skyrim to talk about hearing the voices of the Dragonborn and the Graybeards as we fight. -- I want my slaying of Parthanex to come with consequences and rewards. I want to become the leader of the Blades (given really fancy armor, maybe a shout, a awesome new mount.)
A Different Outcome: (spoilors Dark Brotherhood) In the Dark Brotherhood questline, you become the Listener. Astrid, not wanting to go back to the old-ways that in her mind had destoryed the brotherhood, betrays you, leading the destruction of the sancarary and the deaths of all but two of the members. - Afterwards: severly burned and on the edge of death, she preforms the black sacrament, on herself, requesting you kill her to restore honor or some such.
I for one like Astrid, and my character never gave her any issues. I could never understand why Astrid believed my character to be a threat to her. I'd like to see either a chance to figure out Astrid is gonna betray the player, and the ability to prevent that betrayal, or the ability to save refuse the black sacrament, and save Astrid's life.
I'm sure theres other players who would agree with me. Or have other quest-lines that they'd love to see get a similure treatment.
A Attempt on Your Life: I am sure many of us have been walking along the road, perhaps on our way to a quest, or perhaps just to town to sell our loot when all of a sudden, we are attacked by a figure in black! After dispatching the foe, players find a note on the body of the would-be-assassin.
"As instructed, you are to eliminate [playername] by any means necessary. The Black Sacrament has been performed - somebody wants this poor fool dead. We've already received payment for the contract. Failure is not an option. - Astrid"
I would love a oppratunity to either discover who sent this assassin after me and why. Or at the very least, for players who join the Dark Brotherhood, bring up this assassination attempt with Astrid.
Alternate Werewolf: There are many chances to become a Vampire in Skyrim it seems. However, in order to become a werewolf, you have to play the Companion Quest line. I'd love to be able to become a werewolf through another means. Perhaps it can be done through the addition of wild werewolves as enemies. (Morrowind)
OR
To be lore friendly, it could be a dadric quest line, acquired by reading a book about Werewolves. You do a favor for the Dadric lord of the Hunt, proving yourself worth.... or something. idk.
OR
For players who join the Dark Brotherhood, a personal favor done for Arnbjorn (A former member of the Companions) will lead to him offering to make you 'pack'
Alternate Vampire Lord: Same thought process as the Alternate Werewolf quest line, in that you contact the Dadric Lord responsible for creating the first Vampire somehow and do some sort of quest.
And then the Eight were Nine: I'd like to see something done regarding the worship of Talos. More so with you being the Dragon Born. Perhaps, a series of quests, like the Dadra Quests, where each of the Nine have a quest for you to do..
Player Customization:
Cloaks and Hoods: Skyrim is the frozen north. And lets face it, alot of the clothes and armor in Skyrim just doesnt seem warm enough for the climant. I'd like to see a selection of cloaks and hoods that can be worn over armor/robes/clothes and helmets/headbands/hats that are lore friendly and even fashionable. (and enchantable)
Second ring slot: In Oblivion players could wear up to two rings. One on each hand. I'd like to see this again.
Hair/Eyes/Scars. Character Creation: I'd love to have more choices when it comes to hair style, color, length (In Oblivion, you could adjust the length of hair), eye color, different scars, beards, and warpaint.
Warmer Clothing and Robes: Seriously, this is the northern most country in the whole empire. We walk through blizzards. Scale the tallest mountain in the world.... So by the Nine! Why are the people of this frozen land running around with so much skin showing? Or in such light, thing clothing?
Also; my female characters would love pants. Seriously.
Warmer Armor/More armor choices: Nothing major. But the earlier armor choices, either light or heavy are ugly as hell, or show way to much skin. Love to see more armor choices for both Light and Heavy armor wearers.
Injury and Scaring: How can one Dragonborn take arrows to the chest, blades to the face, and ice-spikes and not come away with out horribily scarred? This idea came to me watching my older sister play through Fable 3. In the Fable series. A player could become injured, and end up scarred. I wouldn't mind seeing something like this in Skyrim. Perhaps if a player is injured in combat (health is low) and they are out of health potions, if they simply wait or rest in a bed to heal, they could end up with a scar....
Dyes and other Customization: I think it would be kinda neat if you could make dyes to change the color of your hair, or clothing. Or create warpaint, tattoos, give your horse warpaint.... Dyes could be made using soul gem fragments, ingredients like different flowers, and other stuff found around the world.
Race Perk Trees: Each race has its own set of bonuses to skills, some come with natural resistence to frost or fire. But what about a perk tree? Something to really set each race a part?
Additional Skills: In Oblivion, there were so many skills that it was almost daunting. However, there are a number of skills I wouldn't mind seeing brought into play in Skyrim. Most noticibily Acrobate and Athetics (running/swimming)
Game Play:
Followers' AI/Battle Cry: I love having a follower. They are useful, they carry my stuff, they even help a bit in fights. However. They are stupid as all hell. I can not tell you how many times I had to reload my game because my follower got in my way during a fight and I ended up shooting them with my high power bow, or my double enchanted, lengandary dadric sword... killing them. (Town Guards also have this issue, getting in my way when I'm fighting Dragons)
In addition to their stupidity in combat. They ALWAYS REPEAT THE SAME LINES. Rather in battle, or everytime you try talking to them. I'm pretty sure we are all sick of hearing "I am sworn to carry your burdens" Every time we want to send Lydia home or perhaps ask her to go attack something while we hide in a corner, sniping enemies.
Horses for Followers: As I stated before. I love having followers. But I hate the fact they are so damn slow. I always have to stop and wait for them to catch up. (This is partly understandable when I've jumped down a mountain and there is no way their AI will let them follow me, because they would die if they did so) But when I'm riding or even just running through the world on my way to another quest, or just hunting for ingredients for potions, I shouldnt have to stop, and wait or even *rest* in order for my follower to catch up. Please. for the love of Talos, give players the ability to buy or rent horses for their followers!
More Werewolf Action!: In Dawnguard, Vampire-Lords can change their forms at will. However, Werewolves can only transform once a day, and can not choose when to turn back into human, plus their time as wolves is limited. I'd love for this to change. I love being a werewolf.
Seasons Unending: In a world where packs of wolves will take down a elk. And dragons will try to eat Giants. It would be awesome to see Guards taking on bandits near town, or Imperial and Stormcloak soliders having a go at it while traviling the world.
Changing Seasons: In Skyrim, the days seem to blur together. The difference in the seasons is simply the date of that day, as weather is currently dependent on what part of Skyrim your in. I'd love to see clear differences in the seasons.
Fishing: Fishing is a pain, having to swim the lakes, rivers and seas in order to find fish. I'd love to be able to use fishing poles, or even see the addition of usable fishing nets.
Wildlife: I'd love to see a more diverse amount of wild life, and also a larger number of them as well. The wilderness seems strangely....empty some times.
There is Life Here: Skyrim has a population? Really? People live in Skyrim? Are you sure? I thought it was just dragons and giants and wolves...... Sarcastic remarks aside. There seems to be a huge lack of foot traffic on the roads of Skyrim. No travilers, no guards on the road, no wondering bands of bandits......
Love, Marriage and Divorce: So many ladies, and no option to change my mind. In a land where marriage happens suddenly, you'd think divorce would be a option........
Horse Perk Tree: Fast, stronger, more stamina, better control, more health!
Horse Armor: Self explanitory.
Dynamic Enviroment: Foot prints in the snow........
Arrow in the Knee: Crippling a guard with an actual arrow in his knee would be amusing. I'd love to see something like Fallout 3's injury system brought back. Giving the ability to cripple, or be crippled, by damaging a limbs.
~~~
I'm sure at some point I'll think of more... but thats all I got now.
