This is the problem I'm currently having outside of Windhelm, as you can see, the LOD is not loading. Is there something that can be done about this?

Thanks guys! :)

I don't really want to change that because I don't really wanna lose anymore FPS. Thanks though.

What you are seeing is normal. LOD textures are lower res. Problem is, they are showing up to close, or it appears to be too close. Have you tried setting the Distant Object to Ultra in the Launcher Options?

Otherwise, you are going to have to use an LOD mod to get higher resolution textures.

Sorry, maybe I should have explained better. What I'm looking at right now is the bridge leading to Windhelm, as such, I should be directly looking at Windhelm's city walls, but as you can see the city is nowhere to be seen, its like the LOD isn't loading at all.

Theres another screenshot a little closer, where some of the city loaded but other parts did not.

Without knowing your system specs all anyone can do is guess?

Have you edited your INI files?
Verified game files?
Is this a laptop?
I did notice in your first PIC the entire castle is missing.

I meant if you're using a higher then normal UGridsToLoad value then you should also adjust the 2nd setting I mention.

Yes, I'm on a laptop.
i7 Q720 at 1.6GHZ
6gigs of Ram
ATI Mobility Radeon 5870
Already tried verifying, restored to default .ini's. Still persists. It's like this for Whiterun as well, and in fact almost all objects that aren't trees.

Oh yeah, I haven't changed my gridstoload I'm afraid.

The game is most likely scaling back on things...your clock speed of your CPU is under spec...

Minimum System Requirements
Windows 7/Vista/XP PC (32 or 64 bit)
Processor: Intel Dual Core 2.0GHz or equivalent processor (AMD Sempron @ 2.4 GHz)
2GB System RAM
6GB free HDD space
Direct X 9.0c compliant video card with 512 MB of RAM
DirectX compatible sound card
Internet access for Steam activation

I've been running the game normally for the past four months though, this is something that just showed up about two days ago. My game runs completely smoothly, it can't be a problem with not meeting system requirements.

Hmm, maybe they changed something in 1.4. Do you have "Distant Landscape Detail" set to "Low" in the launcher?

No, it's on Ultra. I'm gonna try rolling back my drivers. I just remembered they had received an update prior to this problem.

Rolled back drivers, problem still persists. Has to be an issue with 1.4. Nobody else is experiencing this?

Just a side note the launcher has some form of bug since 1.4 something about failing to enumerate etc. when changing settings no clue if that has any effect on things like this.
