So, I was quite happy to get my copy of New Vegas as I love Fallout. It's one of my favorite games ever and I was very excited to play......

Until today, when I did start a game. I played for several hours, then the game decided to freeze on me. Which, in turn, I had to restart my console because of this. After the restart and loading my game, I have found that the right stick on my controller doesn't work with the game now. No reason why or how, it just doesn't. I'm stuck in a house with no way at all to exit. This has ruined my game thus far and if it's not fixed I will return the game. I didn't have a previous save and I figured it would be fine after I restarted the console. No, it's not the controllers, they work fine. I even tested with a different controller and I'm still stuck in a house.

Is anyone else having this issue? I haven't seen anyone with it yet but I've only checked a couple of threads. If this were a minor glitch I wouldn't mind, but I CAN'T PLAY THE GAME! At all, no way to, I have no exit to use, nor can I turn around.

This is sad that this has happened. I may have to not play one of my favorite franchises because of this idiocy.

Can you revert to a previous hard save?

Start a new game. Doesn't mean you have to give up on the current one - maybe it just needs to work the kinks out that way?

Unfortunately, no I can't. I figured the game would have minor glitches in it, but not one where it made the game unplayable. I didn't save because I didn't figure I would run into a problem that would make the game unplayable for me. I suppose if I do start a new game I'll have to save every five minutes or so. I don't really want to start another right now seeing as I already put several hours into this game save.

I'[m sorry to hear that but in games this size, it's always best to save often and save saves. Doing hard saves really helps.

save onto a usb as well as harddrive

Yeah I had this happen to me... in a Casino.
The only solution for this, that I could figure out, is reverting to a save before I got into that area. I was stuck with no weapons, compass, movement... nothing except moving around the camera.

Wow, how nice of them. So now I have to start another game and do the same stuff over again just to play. That's great. Thanks for letting me lose several hours of my life that I won't get back. And then I have to start all over.

Unlike some gamers, I usually don't start several different games for a game. For example, in Fallout 3 I played through once. I don't mind if other gamers do, it's just that I don't do so myself.

Anyone else have any answers to help? Thanks for your reply burritosenior, I at least know some one else ran into this hideous trap. Now I'll have to save every few minutes like I'm playing on some ancient computer that's likely to crash at any moment.
