Make Middle Mouse Button act as Simultaneous Right and left

Post » Mon May 28, 2012 11:33 pm

As the subject says, I would like the middle mouse button act as a simultaneous right and left click (dual casting, dual wielding application). I have a Logitech G700 gaming mouse, and using the Logitech Setpoint software, there is no way I can see to do that. I can reassign the middle button to do a number of different things using the SetPoint software, but right+left click is not one of those things.

Anyone have any ideas?

Not sure which forum to place this under, the PC Issues subforum, or the mods subforum; Moderators, feel free to move it if you see fit.

Unless you can do some clever keymapping tricks, I can't see this being possible.

You could use a custom controlmap.txt and add a second binding for the R/L actions. Some of the entries allow this to work while others don't so it's a matter of experimenting and seeing for yourself if it'll work for your specific needs. You could also use mouse software to see if you can set the MMB to trigger the R/L click action...could also use AutoHotKey to do the same.

Never was able to get this to work, but I found a mod that did more or less what I wanted.

http://www.skyrimnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=5954

Needs script dragon to run.

Been using it for a couple days now, works great.

for this and more youll want www.autohotkey.com

Not 100% user friendly but gets the job done very well. I use it frequently for games. And then forget how the hell did i wrote all the scripts.

Yeah, I tried that for something else (one key to draw both weapons for right and left) and I couldn't get it work correctly, so I didn't bother. The mod I linked to allows you to dual cast with the left mouse button if you have the same spell in right and left hand. Works great.

great idea - I seemed to have problems holding both buttons down to dual cast, especially holding down for a long time while trying to target a &*()^#$% flying dragon that refused to land and "fight like a man"
