I'm wondering if I should turn one of my current characters into a vampire before I start Dawnguard. OR would it be better to take the option (I'm assuming there is one) to turn into a vampire within the DLC.

Is anyone "making" a vampire in preparation for the download? I have never played one, but I have an Altmer mage that would be suitable!

Vamps in general are getting tweaked in the dlc so your experience as a vampire now may not reflect what it will be like in Dawnguard.

I'm going to wait, but in the meantime I have a test character that I have been trying some abilities out with. I'm thinking about going with a mage that has a tone of health and uses conjuration and illusion magic when not in vampire lord form.
