Makes sense....

I mean why would you want to discuss a political decision that might have repurcussions on a game on the general discussion board of that game.

Go ahead lock this one too!

Or better yet remove them, we as gamers need no voice as logic rules everything.

You agreed to have Bethesda allow what you can and can't say when you joined this forum

I love how they always say that though , they pretty much ban freedom of speech in online forums.

If they didn't every topic on every forum would be a flame war.

They have moderators, they CAN moderate and delete posts in threads. Mind you this forum is the least strict I have seen out of the gaming forums, gears of war is the ABSOLUTE worst, say anything that the mods or creators dont like, BAM banned for LIFE, not two days, but FOREVER. The reason usually being, "We felt like it"

You still have freedom of speech. Just exercise it somewhere else if you want to talk about political topics.

Yep, The gears forums are the third Reich incarnate, lol. I got banned for STANDING UP for the game, my opinion differed slightly from a moderator, BAM, banned.....that makes TOTAL sense.

There's no Freedom of Speech on any forum. The owner decides what you can/cannot talk about - private board.

In before ban.

Getting your post removed/locked or even deleted is like taking an arrow to the knee... you just need to deal with it like a man. I'm sure the moderators on this board can give you an application for guard duty.

No I didn't. I agreed that they have a right to moderate the board which is what happened, but I will say what I wish if it gets nixxed by a moderator so be it. If I disagree with the decision I make another post to that effect which is what happened.

So lets it all be in the Skyrim universe:
Transcript from the last great meeting of Jarls

Fourkiller the Nord: "Hear me Skyrim! I now propose a tax on all weaponery, magic and your very fists! If you so choose to partake in any activity utilizing said means you will pay an aditional 1% of the transcation fee for each occurence. This will be shuttled into a fund to further the manners of all are perpeutal 11 years old who are generally brats or little milk-drinkers who can't stand up to anyone, also they might possibly become fat some day so we must prepare for that."

Fun fact of the day: most forum moderators are on power trips on every single forum that you post on. Most have no life outside of these forums and have a god complex while on their powertrips.

Make your own forum.

If you go to someone's house, you will have no freedom of speech either. You could be kicked out if you say bad things that displease the owner of the house.

Least strict forums? No way. Just no. This forum gets warn happy every time anyone decides to show that they're a human as opposed to being a robot.

This. Like when they do topic locks and blurt out something just so that they can have the last say without any rebuttal.

Well since this thread exists discussing what happened with the other thread, I would say yes that is how a forum works.

You want to have freedom of speech on a forum then create your own forum. Otherwise, try to exist within the predefined rules. It's really very simple and should surprise no one.

OP. Bethesda's forums, their rules - and you did agree to abide by them when you joined.

No politics is one, and your last topic was locked.

No re-opening threads about locked topics and no discussing moderator action. Oops that is three rules broken.
