Making a High Elf Female Character Viable?

Post » Fri Jul 20, 2012 6:48 pm

I really want to play as a high elf female, but i just can't find any motivation for a high elf to come to skyrim without being in the thalmor, and i don't like the thalmor, so i dont' want to do that kind of roleplay. Can someone sell high elf females to me?

Just say that they came to Skyrim to stop Thalmor influence there or something. Of course, you'd have to kill every Thalmor you saw, but who really cares?

My high elf female was an anti-Thalmor agent. It was a fun roleplay.

An Altmer is not necessarily going to have to immigrate there. When I made my Altmer mage I roleplayed that she was born in Skyrim.

For starters, the fact that the character you want is female is irrelevant. Second, there are numerous Altmer who are not with the Thalmor. You could try modelling your character on Legate Fasendil. He's an an Altmer who hates the Thalmor, and he's in Skyrim on orders from the Emperor.

I have played several High Elf Females. High Elves are probably my favorite race in Skyrim in fact. Keep in mind that every High Elf in the province does not have to be from Alinor, or in any way associated with the Thalmor. There are plenty of High Elves who are born and raised in all the other provinces, who consider themselves members of those societies first, and High Elves second.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v90/subrosa_florens/Skyrim/Skyrim220.jpg was your basic barbarian. She was an orphan, raised by a Nordic mountain man. She never knew anything about the Thalmor, and the word "elf" was just something the people in the nearby villager called her sometimes. After her adoptive father's death, she took his old suit of armor and refitted it to her own frame, and went to explore Skyrim. Being raised a True Nord, she joined up with the Stormcloaks and helped rid Skryim of the Imperials and their Thalmor masters.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v90/subrosa_florens/Skyrim/Skyrim054.jpg was a native of Alinor. She was a political moderate, who was against the Great War, seeing it as being an unnecessary act of thuggishness. The lesser races would all eventually come around to accepting High Elf leadership after all. It was the natural order of things. The Thalmor did not take kindly to someone speaking out against them however, so she was imprisoned. After a few decades she was tried for treason and found guilty. She was sentenced to exile, and put on a ship to Elsewyr. Feeling bitter and betrayed by her country, she could not get out of Thalmor-allied territory fast enough. She went north to Cyrodiil, and found that Altmer were not very welcome. So she continued on to Skyrim, and the rest is history...

I like to play as though my character thinks everyone is racist against him and every time I get the chance to act offended I do that. It's unrelated to what you said but I thought it worthy of note cause I'm pretty cool.

Also hey how would you make whale hunting viable?

You don't have to be part of a faction just because of your race. About half the Nords in Skyrim don't like the stormcloaks, and its been stated that the Thalmor have always been a minority, even on the Summerset Isles.

You could be a Altmer Queen who was thrown out of Summerset Isles, when the Thalmor took over. You wanted to get as far away as you could so you came to Skyrim. Remember this works because the Thalmor got rid of almost all of the Altmer royalty and replaced them with their own.
