On my 3rd play and I've never run in to this guy, i know he's a random encounter but is there a way to help him show up?

He only shows up if you have picked up at least one Star bottlecap.

Have 7 on current game and lots more on other 2. First one i always get is at the sky diving shack.

Then it's also possible he got killed by some wildlife, since he likes to run up to you no matter what is going on around you at the time. I had him actually start talking to me during the powder ganger attack at Goodsprings during one playthrough.

There is 2 of the bottle caps in goodsprings in the houses after you get them just "wait" for a couple of hours and he will show up, he has 6 of the bottle caps and has a roving trader outift which is handy to get at the start of the game. He's always my first humanoid victim, He has some .308 ammo and no gun so you are meant to kill him :)

He also likes to get himself killed in Primm on the new traps that I added in my mod...

I took pity on him and added a journal to his inventory that explains what he'd tell the player if he was still alive.

Well back tracked sure enough found Holmes body at power ganger camp you pass on you way to primm. Thanks for telling me of his suicidal tendencies.

agreed, except for the meant to kill him bit ..... :whistling:

Showed up for me in every playthrough, gets a shell from my Sturdy Caravan Shotgun in the back too when I4m done talking to him.

That'll teach him to follow strangers around. <_<

Wiki says he walks to the Mohave Outpost, then vanishes.

I haven't looked at GECK.

Had him show up in all 3 play throughs for me and he I followed him once and kept him safe, and he does indeed goto the Mohave Outpost and then disappear.
