MaleUnderwear_1 is missing a specular map

Post » Tue Jun 19, 2012 12:38 am

hi,
when i put a playerhousemannequin in my cell, i receave the above message
the mannequin has a wrong texture where the underpants should be and you cant activate the mannequin if you point your mouse in the direction of the underpants ( every other part works fine ).

is there a way to fix this or do i have to wait for a bugfix from beth?
i did a complete clean reinstall of skyrim just in case my skyrim.esm was corrupted, since i not a lot of people seem to have that problem (or maybe just are not posting about it)

I get that message as well, but have always ignored it.
Maybe Beth didn't want you pointing at that part or the mannequin? :whistling:
Seriously though, I thought the specular map was how light is reflected from the model, so would I be right is saying that the underwear would just appear as a dull texture?

Anyone else modified an existing model or texture care to comment as to how easy/hard the fix would be?

i my case it seems that the texture of the underwear is in fact the texture of the mannequin itself, i can see a part of the backtexture an some of the leg. i'll post a picture tomorrow, its getting kind of late here and i have to work tomorrow

set all the trigger boxes to 95 degrees regardless of which direction the mannequins are facing. setting it explicitly at 95 degrees eliminates the no-touch underwear bug

I get that message too but have been ignoring it, I thought it was just another one of those "dont worry about it" messages.
My mannequins seem to work OK but I dont think I have ever clicked the crotch area so will have to go check that out.

There a few items that need to be roated slightly to make them work properly, I struggled for days with the weapon racks until someone told me to rotate them 1o . Strange.
