Map Suggestions

Post » Fri Jul 08, 2011 1:12 pm

[I've been searching the forums for a bit, and see that some people post ideas related to maps. After looking a bit longer, I am convinced no one has made a topic like this yet. However, if there already is a topic in existence, please excuse my ignorance.]

This topic is for the discussion of map ideas people have had since they started playing brink (regardless of how 'stupid' they may sound). There is no specific requirement for any map to meet, simply post your ideas.

I have my own idea for a prison break map, which should serve nicely as an example. (This is not like the Sec Tower map. Having played it several times, I believe it doesn't fit the style, or definition, of prison; and is instead a jail.) The map would look somewhat similar to the inside of a prison, which you can find images of through google. The prison cells are located underwater, with offices, armories, visitor center, and other facilities are located on the surface, with the rest of the Ark. (Lavatories are located on all levels.) The lowest level of the prison contains the absolute worst and most violent inmates, which is exactly what the Resistance is looking to set free.

Obviously, Security plays defense while the Resistance plays offense. The goal of the Resistance is to set every detained person, in the prison, free; and enlist the prisoners aid in their struggle against Security. Clearly Security can't let that happen. Resistance sees the possibility for new allies, while Security sees the possibility for absolute anarchy. The Resistance will start from the outer most layer of the prison (the surface), and work their way deeper into the facility, where the master control room is, supposedly, located. After all the other prisoners are freed, Resistance discovers there is a separate control room for the lowest level, where the worst inmates are located. Resistance must hack into two separate terminals to completely free the populous (both terminals must be hacked in order for the Resistance to succeed). (Map contains standard side objectives with the addition of three supply/health terminals, possibly.)

I am aware that most of everyone is currently discussing their rage or the known issues the game currently has, but I felt like seeing what else the community has to contribute.

Not a bad idea with some well-thought out (if even obvious) story to it.

And I LOOOOOOOVE defense-maps. I basically only play security when I start a game, but I'm more than happy to roll resist. given the invite. :P

A boat chase kind of scenario.

A few of the Resistance try to leave, however they're on a armed ship. And the Security, taking it as a misconception as a attempt at a other attack, decide to intercept with their own boat. I'm not sure exactly what the objectives would be, (I have posted it somewhere in these forums before) Though it could work and could fit.
