Hi Everyone,
New to the forum and was trying to find out some information reguarding the Markarth Jail Bug. I joined the Stormcloaks and i am on a mission "Compelling Tribute" where i am to travel to Markarth and search for some evidence. The problem i have is that when i arrive in Markarth, im confronted by guards where i am wanted for murder (was sloppy and didnt care who saw haha) but when i choose the option to go to jail, the guard says "You will never see light" blah blah and it starts all over again. The dialog is repeated no matter what i chose to say. Im stuck and find my self skipping any missions that require me to travel to Markarth. Has anyone else have this problem? Please help me out. Thanks! PS: I have it for PS3 and i am currently up to date on all the patches. Had the game since its release.

Yes I've had this problem with my very first charecter. I actually had a lot of fun with it too since I generally kill off of the guards.

Anyhow with my newest charterer what I think happen with my case is that I accidentally killed one of the Silver-Blood family members when I was at the Treasury House on my finial quest of finding the evidence. It's best to avoid the fight, IMO.

Go to http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Skyrim:The_Forsworn_Conspiracy and carefully read it as you may find some clues as of some your mistake.

An addition what class are you? Nord? Imperial?

Im a Dark Elf. It's impossible to look for evidence because there are so many guards. I cannot aviod a fight because the dialog is so repetative and when i try to walk away, they chase me and the dialog starts all over again. Very fustrating to say the least. Havnt played it in about 5 days because of it. This needs a patch. Hopefully the newest patch coming in Jan will erase this problem.
