Marked locactions on physical map? : V

If you look at your physical map of skyrim, you will see red x marked somewhere on the map.
There is an x marked by lake ilinalta,(near falkreath) one by white river(near white run) and many many more around the map.
What could they be? I think hidden chests.

Could someone check?

I'm not sitting in front of the game, and I just looked at the map.

I can't believe that I missed those before. I'm not sure what they are, but I'm now very interested in knowing now. Guess i gotta put down Mass Effect 2 and find out.

I'm gonna have to say no. There are more than 4 on the map and there are only 4 people in the DB chamber....and they only tell of 1 each. Investigation will be necessary.

I thought so. Having something to do with the (random?) loot treasure maps then? Guardian stones is also a possibility since the two marks the OP mentioned might be the Lady and Ritual stones?

Yes, and I counted 13 on my physical map. Good find by the way OP.

Grr I was so hoping it will be an Easter egg hunt but it's just guardian stones... But it still can be useful if you are trying to find them without YouTube! And thank you guys for saying its a good find, I noticed that 3 weeks ago but wasn't bothered to make a thread about it.

They're the standing stones, I know a few by heart and they're in the same locations

yea when the game first came out i noticed this, at first i thought they where standing stones, but i found more than 13. Im about to check it out.
