Marriage Issues

Post » Fri Jun 08, 2012 3:42 pm

So basically, I married Camilla from Riverwood, but later wanted to marry Aela because she seems like a more useful person to have around. Problem number 1, is that there is currently no way to divorce a spouse. I killed Camilla, and THEN found out that doing so would not reset the relationship status. Implementing a divorce option would be much appreciated. What do you think?

Marriage is a joke!I married Aela and straight after the ceremony she walked out like nothing happened it was poorly implemented.Would have been nice to have a honeymoon option.

Found that out myself after I had a butchering party with my wife. Good times, chased her around the home until she found an area with a closed door. Irony being my charter was named Johnny.

I thought I'd divorce my wife, so now she lives in a nice shiny black gem. She still won't have any talk of divorce.

I take her everywhere. :)

I know for a fact that divorce or at least relationship status reset can be done through console commands but I believe it's impossible on console versions

I all most had a blood party with my wife too, turned into werewolf in front of her and was ready to rip her heart out...after the transformation she said: ''Hello my love, back from some adventure I bet.'' I started to love her again...

Huh, I actually still have my wife. She is sitting at the bottom of the pile of other corpses I have collected in my Solitude house basemant.

I reanimate here time to time to only kill her again, & again, & again. Saddly already ate her corpse.

Might kill the wife just for the extra storage space in the crafting lab.

Given Skyrim's ludicrously binding marriages, I regrettably had no choice but to kill my wife. I then engaged in a bit of witchery (ahem, console commands) and reanimated her, wiping the last few months from her mind. She meandered away mumbling something about Khajiit caravans and I was free to let my affections stray once again. :] No fuss, no muss.
