Marriage....

Is it possible to re-marry if you "remove" your spouse from the marriage? I only married this first NPC because i needed a chest to put stuff in at the begininng of the game and i want to marry someone else instead.

um....by "remove" do you mean kill? this issue of if its possible to re-marry is a massive debate, some people say that you get a ciyrier a few days later who gives you something like a letter of sympathy, then you can remarry, others say you cant even if you kill them.

personally ive never had to test it since i make my marriages work thank you very much :D

just wack that wife or hubby dead and see what happens...best chance you have

Just start a new character. I got three going right now who are married - Red Guard married to Muiri, Dark Elf married to Senna, and female Bretan married to Mjoll.

Seriously, you need to marry Senna, hot body and I love what she says to me when I leave the house.

From what I understand: if the spouse is killed by an event you get an "Inheritance Letter" and you can remarry, but if you kill them you can't remarry.

You could Fast Travel there over and over hoping for a dragon attack to catch her outside.

Edited for grammar.

In my two games: (heterosixual marriage to Sylgja and homosixual marriage to Muiri) they both seem to stay in the house all the time. I was under the impression that if your spouse worked in a shop before marriage they continue after. That being said I haven't checked Hag's Cure during business hours to see if Muiri's working there, but she's in the house at all hours of the day. :P

What are you 'not' looking for in a spouse? :P There are 2 male Orc candidates.

There are a couple very sixy orcs, Moth who's a smith in Understone Keep in Markarth and Ghorbash Iron-Hand who's in a stronghold south of Markarth.

Your spouse cannot be killed, excepting by your own hand. Follower spuses, though, can be glitch-killed by poisoned dart traps and lingering poisons used by enemies (the poisons seem to break the actor's protected flag).

The funeral meats cannot coldly furnish the wedding tables: there is no legitimate way to re-marry.

You can reset the marriage-related quests using the console, and then you can re-marry, but if you're not on PC, then you're out of luck. And I believe that this may prevent the Lover's Comfort bonus from working, though that could be another issue entirely.

Next time, please remember that marriage is not a decision to be taken lightly.
