Okay so when you get to the part were you can recruit blade members, has anyone tried getting married and recruiting there significant other. If so and if it does work do they still do there marriage duties while being part of the blades?

No, but I married Benor after he became a Blade. Then I took him to help me kill a dragon for a bounty. We'd already fought one dragon with him as a blade and a couple before that. So imagine my surprise when he suddenly freaked out and started yelling "I'm not sticking around to fight a dragon!" He ran off, leaving me to fight the dragon alone. Your spouse will also live either at their own house with you or one of your houses - I'd sort of hoped they'd find a nook for us in the Blade compound.

Thankfully, I had a pre-courtship save. No more marrying a Blade. Too bad - a gal has to appreciate a guy who comments "good punch" after she beats the stuffing out of him.

I did this. It works. They still return to your house and do all their normal duties, except now they wear Blades armor.

On Blades companions... Are they lost to you if you refrain from killing Paarthunax? Do they have to follow suit in their leaders' slavish adherence to principle?

I do so eagerly await the day someone CK's that stupidity out of there. I'll even endure voiceless dialog Morrowind-style if it would just let me bring the Blades and their brashness to heel.

how do you kill paarthunax? I attacked him and his health just regenerates, then when I activate the dialogue "the blades said I needed to kill you" he just blathers on about trusting him and thats it. no second choice.

Dunno... did you try Dragonrending him? I haven't killed him so I wouldn't know.

Anyhoo... I've asked all over the place and never have gotten an actual answer... Are Blades companions lost to you once Delphine and Esbern start going *WHARRGARBL KILL PAARTHUNAX*?

yea, he just stayed on that word wall.

Also with the blades, my only dialogue choice is "About paarthunax..."
