So Faralda is the character that gives you the Master Destruction Spell quest from the College of Winterhold. You can begin this quest as soon as your Destruction skill hits 90. My current Destruction skill is 94, but I cannot get Faralda to let me begin the quest. I have tried attacking her and getting kicked out of the College, but that doesn't work. Does anyone know how I can fix this?

Also, is there any other place I can get the master Destruction spells from in case this quest is bugged? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I am at level 91 in Destruction and this doesn't trigger for me, either. Any help would be great.

Hmm... I got my destruction to 100 before i even talked to her about it. I assumed you had to have 100. Maybe you should try that? But before you do that...

Have you tried clearing the cache? reloading an earlier save? Leaving the college for a few days, then trying again?

I have tried leaving for abour a week, game time, and it still doesn't work. I am on Xbox 360

Okay. So am i.

Umm... Try this:

Save in front of her.
Then exit to dashboard.
Right aftet you press a to play the game and the screen goes black, press and hold a. Keep holding until it says press start. That clears the cache.
Then load the game and see if the option is there.

If not, i would suggest leveling destruction to 100...

How far along are you in the college quest line?

Okay... I did some digging for you and it seems you HAVE to be at 100 for her to offer the quest. I guess its some sort of oversight on beths part. Even though all official documentation says that 90 should start the quest, alot of players need to be at 100 for it to start. Some do some dont.

So i say, if the cache clearing doesnt work, level up destruction.

360 User here, worked at 100 for me but not before, just a glitch I guess. Lightning Storm is so worth it, not blizzard or fire storm though if you have followers.

The Master Destruction Ritual is the only magic school that requires your skill to be at 100, which makes me think it's a bug. But it's listed on UESP as skill requirement = 100 (and not in the bugs section of the wiki) so I dunno for sure.

Your destruction has to be 100...as if the master destruction spells were so awesome you couldn't learn them at lvl 90
