Master is the way to go

I was playing at Adept level and was finding most enemies a pushover at my current level 15-16. I switched to Master and boy is the game more fun now! I died 5-6 times clearing out a bandit hideout and a Mage occupied fort. I find that I now have to use mich more strategy and planning and I'm finally using my other potions (besides health and magica recovery) and scrolls. I highly recommend it if you're finishing the game too easy.

Increasing the difficulty if the game is too easy goes without saying, your point?

Once I reached that point where my character was killing dragons in three hits and everything else in one, I started again as a thief. It's surprisingly fun doing the non-combat parts of this game.

I've got a thief character now and I still smashed if I go toe-to-toe with a bear. Well, not smashed, but since I'm an archer, I haven't levelled my armour up. Speaking of armour, I go with light armour for a sneaky type. While the combat hasn't really been Dragon Soul's level of difficulty, if things manage to close in on me, i do take a lot of damage. So the tactic is always sneak/archery hit from afar. Tight dungeons get pretty intense for me, especially if I get swarmed. But that doesn't happen often, as my strategy (as mentioned) tends to be slower paced.

I have actually found dragons relatively easy. Combination of find cover + use terrain to my advantage + lots of arrows = easy killing. I did find it strange how one dragon landed (mid fight now), I got a critical on it with a bow, then it took off, circled, and crash landed. I know it's the effect of getting a critical on it with a bow shot, but I laughed that it had to take off again in order to crash. Could have just staggered IMO.

I'm getting killed in one hit with arrows on Adept....

On Master, arrows will make my computer explode.
