Melee Weapons ? : Othor Games

So, in the new gamepro I read about huge weapon/ gun customization (I could already predict it though) Soooooo I was wondering if we could customize melee weaponry, or have multiple swords and crazy sh****** OR a bowe knife OR a katana OR a machette OR a battle axe OR just a kitchen knife.

Might be able to customize, but unlikely since melee is not a focus of the game.

This. I would like to see several knives even if it was only cosmetic. All other guns besides pistol use a gun butt as melee.

Melee will not be ohk anyway, so I guess less people will focus on it than in other games.

Im all for different knives, but good knife customization could take a while cause there aren't many precedents,
and we can't really discuss how hard it is to be a ninja assassin or grenade launcher because the game isn't out but Im gonna say its harder to be a ninja because its hard to be a good spy but easy to shoot grenades at someone, demoman is easier than spy at an entry level.

THe knife is only out for maybe a faction of a second. All you will do is slash if i remember from the demos correctly. I might be mistaking it for Mondern war.

i would like to see some sort of mele customizations in brink like choosing different kinds on knifes it would be cool if you could get switch blades and stuff but i know thats a bit complicated. i think they should add knife customization in some sort of expansion or something so it doesn't delay the game and so it will come out before Christmas (thats probably there goal). good game no matter what.

it's not complicated, it's simply... not needed in any way, you'll only see it as a light, and only in a flash...
and the christmas of this year doesn't fall in the spring of next year you know...

I don't think i'd mind seeing a switchable melee weapon instead of your secondary (imagine wearing that katana into the fight), I guess that could be a OHK. I'm pretty sure it won't happen though.

I'd like a customisable knife, even if it is just a skin. It suits the style of the game.

If they add melee weapons at some point, then swords and axes and clubs could be customised, but I'm not sure that suits. Although a sword as a costume option sounds cool.

Can't tell you how frustrating it is to have someone who doesn't really know how to play the game run full tilt at you while holding down the trigger just so they can get close enough to instant kill you with a pocket knife.

peanut butter jelly on a baseball bat? it would be cool to have different melee weapons, but it would take away from shooting, plus people would just find ways to abuse something

As long as its not a OHK you shouldn't have too much trouble killing any idiot charging you with a baseball bat.

if there talking about OHK with knives but also no OHK guns and from what ive seen everyone has a buttload of health someone rushing you with a knife would work but it would be really annoying im playing a light but i dont think i will use melee

The OHK knife is only when killing a light.
