I have a favor to ask of you guys.
I am working on an Oblivion mod that includes Mephala, but the wiki has really confused me. It said he is the webspinner, associated with lies and murder, yet it says that he is considered one of the "good" princes. That didn't make sense to me, and from what I previously understood Mephala was evil so that's how I made him in the mod.
And so I have to ask, has anyone completed the quest for Mephala? did he seem like a "good" deadra? Can you please describe him for me? Thank you.

I did, and I think it's weird that he's considered good. Did they confuse him with Meridia?

In-game, he's clearly evil during the quest. He's possessed a child to make them evil, he (actually in Skyrim it's she) wants you to kill Farengar to get the key to the door, then she wants you to murder people who trust you with her sword. Not good. Don't know why the wiki says that.

EDIT: I really think that the book Darkest Darkness is wrong. I think it should say that Meridia is the good daedra, rather than Mephala. I've confused them before. Of course, it also says that Boethiah is a good daedra, for some reason.

Mephala seemed evil to me.

It gets a kick from people betraying their friends and allies.
