Besides for Orcs, they are all combat deficient. The high elves are snooty, the dark elves are whiny, and the wood elves are lame.

I don't see the benifets of the other elven races, can someone point them out?

Well.... I don't really like any of them for anything, personally.

Race quite honestly, in TES, is aesthetic. I pick the Dunmer because I love the look and the lore, not because he is "combat deficient."

This is my opinion on humans: They are boring compared to the mer.

You have your opinions, and I have mine. No race is any less combat efficient than the other unless you're coming right out of the tutorial dungeon.

Basically it comes down to whether or not you want your toon to have pointy ears.

True, Loth. Of course, I don't play mages in these games.... So for Skyrim, Nord or Imperial suit me best.

Yeah, I love Nords for melee chars, and their racial ability is just hilarious for me as I imagine my toon hollering "[censored]es! I will kill you right in your FACE!"

I agree, the only difference ends up being the first few levels with the skills. After that, it balances out and really doesn't make much of a difference. Although, I do find it handy that my dunmer is 50% resistant to fire.

Yep.... handy, that, since every damn dragon in the early parts of the game uses "Yol toor shul" as if anything else is anathema.
