Merchant Quest with Dialogue

I am trying to import a new Merch into the game with unique dialogue. I have the shop, the merchant Nav meshes working perfectly. sandboxed. I am at the stage of dialogue. Dialogue is connected to quests when entered by modders but for all merchants it is faction related, which means I would need to start from the ground up. I have all the unique dialogue prepared. my question is. What Quests are used for buying and selling. If I set this up will I have issues with the merch using vanilla dialogue during sandboxing times. how do I know what quests should be used, will I need to manually set his whole AI and faction defaults as quests?
