This is the way Skype ends. Not with a bang, but a bunch of annoying commercials

Oh, yes. Because nothing makes your userbase happier than adware forcing you to watch an ad before you can use the program.
Seriously, if they use any such takeover/screen grabbing ad, that's noxious and worse than a lot of adware.
