Midnight in Skyrim

Post » Sat Jun 09, 2012 6:01 pm

Hi there!
have you seen the film "Midnight in Paris"?
you know, It's about willing to live in past times.
do you ever have the same feeling about living in Skyrim? nothing technological.
how would it be? which job do you take? which city or town do you choose?

I have thought about what it would be like to live in Skyrim.

It would be dangerous to travel outside of cities and stuff. So I'd train in combat. But I would be merchant in a city probably, if it was real life. :)

I've always wanted to live in a simpler time. Not sure about that simple though. Maybe the renaissance era would do. I'd probably be a bard. Or a male prosttute.. for lonely old women who wear wigs.

I think I might be a fletcher (somebody who makes bows and arrows) or an alchemist. As for city, I'm not sure. Never even been to Markarth or Falkreath or some of the smaller townslike Rorikstead or Shor's Stone.

Well I am a big time hunter and fletcher in real life. I don't make my own bows but I make my own arrows. So I would probably do the same if I was in the Skyrim world. Though being as deadly as it is I would mostly likely have trained in combat too. Not saying I would be some uber warrior, but I'd know how to use my sword and would fight to the death instead of trying to run away screaming like a little girl.

They would call me the prosttute of whiterun. by day steals the sweetrolls from every tavern and store in skyrim and by night well you get the idea.

I am thinking of living in Riverwood area. I really like that town. I would be a fisherman. but a trained one.
I would spend my time beside the river around the town. collecting ingredients for potions. at lunch time, I would just eat a grilled fish in woods. wow, that would be a nice life.

Whiterun...good hunting around there, and not too much snow.

Why do you think i play these games? TES, Age of Conan, Baldurs gate (back in the time)..... and so many more... Coz its my dream to teleport myself to such an age, where everything was an adventure, travelling from one village to another for example, going hunting... looking at the stars at night time, light up a fire to warm up.. nature was still unspoiled and dangerous...

Between the time when the oceans drank Atlantis, and the rise of the sons of Aryas, there was an age undreamed of.... that would be my "age"

look what this age have become!
we all like to live at past. you know it's a strange thing. everybody at 50's, 60's and 70's wanted to live at future! you can see that type of desire in "Fall out 3".
I think the BS game company is thinking like us; future ends up with "Fall out", but the past is nice and beautiful (except for Oblivion world!)

I study Philosophy, especially Metaphysics, in reality, so I'd be a mage at the College of Winterhold. I'd spend my days attending lectures and my nights reading dusty tomes in the Arcaneum.

Well, I`d have come from peasant stock and ended up in the infantry probably as a guard, guarding something....

Or been a scribe.

Most real life past eras would be outright torture for me, since I'm a woman. Skyrim doesn't seem to have much in the way of a gender bias, which is somewhat better... but I'd still miss soap, shampoo, toothpaste and feminine hygyne products. Perhaps the folks in Tamriel have potions for such things? Hmm...

You probably don't have to choose much since most people will die before they reach 30.

I'd be a Thalmor Justiciar, and a powerful mage. Everyone would bask in my glorious superiority.

ulfric, high king, over-all goodness, its all a little too much work for me, i would be a trickster (illusionist/rogue), live in riften, and join the guild (i might like being an assassin in the game but i dont think i have the guts for that line of work irl, but i would make an excellent thief!!)
