Might take a break from Skyrim (bugged game save)

I'm on my fifth character in Skyrim, this time an Imperial fighter with perks in the block, heavy armor, one handed, alchemy, and smithing skills. She's level 46, wears enchanted dragonbone armor and weilds a mace. I've been playing this game for more than 90 hours.

In this particular game my character has spent more time just taking care of various quests and working through Dawnguard then worrying about the dragon problem. She does know a bunch of shouts, has killed plenty of dragons, but that's not the focus so far.

I haven't finished Dawnguard because I get too easily distracted. I keep doing those radiant quests where you go kill the odd vampire, or get svcked into other side quests. But now I'm not sure I'll finish Dawnguard with this character because my saved game is pretty bugged:
  • Vilkas and Farkas draw their weapons and then talk to me everytime they see me. I have traveled to every city or town I've ever been in and have made sure I have no bounty but it doesn't matter. They still do it.
  • Serana has disappeared (again) and I haven't seen her in ages. She's probably stuck somewhere I guess. Regardless, even when I ask a canine at Dawnguard Fort to follow me, they act like they're going to but don't.
  • The frame rate dips more and more and it's worse then I've seen before.
It just feels like this particular saved game has some real problems and I'm not sure I want to finish it. I might just take a break and then start with a brand new character in a few weeks. I'm not complaining, and I actually feel guilty for wanting to take a break, but I have lots of XBLA content I've bought and downloaded and have yet to play, so now might be a good time.

Try getting a bounty in Whiterun and then paying it off.
