The mask I received upon Miraaks death turned out to be heavy. I have never used heavy armor before so I should have gotten the light variant instead, right?

According to http://elderscrolls.wikia.com/wiki/Miraak_%28Mask%29 it's based on my level but the question is what level? I haven't even leveled my heavy armor skill at all and yet I get the heavy version of the mask?

Your mask is indeed glitched. All 3 of my characters have the light armor version, and two of the 3 of my characters are using heavy armor perks, so there is no way that should affect it.

Also all 3 are level 81, in case you were wondering about level discrepancies.

Hmm, I have not invested any points in light or heavy armor at all. Perhaps it could be due to that?


Maybe if I invest some in light armor he will drop the light version, hm?

Doubtful, seeing as one of my 3 has light armor invested, and it came out as light on the two with heavy regardless.

Ah, I just realized that my heavy armor skill is 38 while my light armor is 22...

I haven't even leveled heavy armor.... strange.
