Missing Derkeethus? : V

While exploring Alftand Derkeethus disappeared, he is still alive, I asked Lydia to follow me and got the reply when you have a companion, so I searched Alftand with no luck, any ideas?

If you haven't already, try waiting.

You can also try a "Forced Companion" Quest, such as Proving Honor.

If waiting doesn't work in the short term, waiting for 3 days may automatically dismiss your companion.
