I've got the Canadian New Vegas disc, I'm in Canada, have a Canadian Playstation Store account.

I've noticed the behavior I'm about to describe since patch 1.05 was installed. Now the the Playstation Store is available again, I was able to experiment and find out more.

Originally I'd noticed that installing the 1.05 patch seemed to cause Dead Money to be invisible to the game, it did not show up under Downloadable Content after patching but Classic Pack was still there. I thought perhaps that Dead Money was corrupted somehow, and wasn't able to reinstall it until this morning when the store became available. That didn't fix it. I also found that Honest Hearts installed freshly was not detected by the game.

I deleted all the game data and DLC from my PS3 under Game Data Utility and then installed the game freshly, patched again to 1.05. I downloaded Dead Money again and installed it, then fired up New Vegas - the game could see Dead Money properly now.

I quit and downloaded Honest Hearts, installed it and fired up New Vegas - now Dead Money and Honest Hearts were detected properly.

I quit and downloaded the Classic Pack and installed it. I fired up New Vegas and Dead Money and Honest Hearts were no longer detected by the game. The Classic Pack was detected properly.

I'm unsure if this has anything to do with it, but the Classic Pack shows up in the Game Data Utility as "Fallout: New Vegas DLC - (US)" rather than being lumped in with Dead Money and Honest Hearts under "Fallout: New Vegas DLC - (CA)". I could tell this after deleting both DLC items in Game Data Utility and then re-downloading (again) Dead Money and Honest Hearts and installing them (now I only have "Fallout: New Vegas DLC - (CA), so presumably the Classic Pack is US content).

In short, as soon as I install the Classic Pack, all other DLC seems to get b0rked. If I want to play Dead Money or Honest Hearts, I cannot have the Classic Pack installed. I'm unsure if this is also the case with other retail packs that were available when the game came out.

Hopefully that's enough info for the developers to fix the problem. I'd suggest to other users having similar issues to remove any of the retail pack DLC add-ons or all the DLC, then re-download and re-install Dead Money and Honest Hearts, and not install retail packs until the issue is solved. It's free to re-download DLC once you've paid for it.

Yeah, I have problems seeing it too. I actually just re-patched the game and I saw everything.

Same here i have classic pack but im in USA, the pack had (ca) next to it always has,but once i deleted my classic pack dlc from the game data utility it recognized my add-ons. I didnt bother to try an re-install the CPack after to see what would happen. Didnt they patch this problem on the 360 like the next day?

I have the Canadian version as well and I just tested what you tried, and I found a fix to have both Dead Money, and Honest Hearts work with the Classic Pack. All you need to do is redownload the Classic Pack but get the french version, the french version of the Classic Pack is in English it is just the Canadian version of the DLC and all 3 DLC's will show up when you start the game. The English version of the Classic Pack is the US version and it blocks the Canadian DLC's for some reason. Hope this helps.

Thanks firedemon3, that makes sense- the French version probably sorts it's content into "Fallout: New Vegas DLC - (CA)" with the other two items, so they're all lumped into a single region, and the game can see everything.

Having DLC from multiple regions is likely what's truly breaking things, rather than the patch.. the patch may have just made things more restrictive in some way so that if this worked before, it doesn't now.

Interestingly enough, I'm not able to try this as the Classic Pack is now missing when I look under Add-Ons in the Playstation Store. Perhaps they were pulled and will be re-published so the names are more accurate and folks know which one to get to match the region they're in.

It'd still be in the list of downloads, in Account management area.

Not a problem, I called support today to see if maybe a patch was coming out in the future to fix this problem, their response was to try and reinstall the DLC's. When I reinstalled the DLC's there was still a problem so I tried loading in the french version of the Classic Pack and it worked so I posted it here.

THANK YOU. It appears you are absolutely right, I deleted the Classic Pack, loaded my last save and Honest Hearts started _immediately_. Now unfortunately I have to let my son watch TV...DAMMIT! anyway, I know what I'll be doing tomorrow.

If you still want the Classic Pack, redownload the french version on the PSN store.

US disc Blus 30500, US Dead Money, in Canada/ from Canadian PS Store etc.

Four pre-order DLC packs as well, I had full compatibility before HH as they were all US versions.

I may be able to use the "French" ones for compatibility with Honest Hearts like people are doing with the Classic Pack.

Honest Hearts came and blew everything to hell because it's CA only content.


The irony is not lost on me, the annexation has begun. :ahhh:

I suggest the folks running this show go back and look at Fallout 3. We have been going through this same scenario since 2008.

Both US and CA versions need to be on the PS Store in Canada because we get both the US and CA discs and DLC sold to us. (the US Blood Money was originally on the Canadian PS Store let's not forget) It's not just the CE people having issues.

This way, people could match up BLUS codes with their version and select the right one. Make a mistake, no big deal, exchange it directly with the PS Store for the correct one. Even the pre-order Bonus DLC has both US and CA versions included for a reason.

I have all my DLC working now. At first I deleted all my DLC files from data utility, then re-dl all of em. Game only recognized my classic pack, so I deleted my classic pack game recognized DM and HH only. I played for a bit and later on re DL my classic pack, Now the game recognized none of the DLC. I deleted the classic pack dlc file again{12mb one} and only that file. Start the game up and now it recognizes all my dlc including the classic pack. Maybe now its being loaded into the DLC folder and when it creates that 2nd DLC file{12mb} it causes a problem?

So, let me get this straight. The Canadian version of Honest Hearts won't work with the US version of the game? I thought they fixed that problem with Dead Money...

I don't know if I should download it or not now. Is there anyone with the US version game who's downloaded the Canadian version DLC and it worked?

Now this may seem stupid but there's a possibility that dlc will only work for new vegas if downloaded in the right order. I downloaded honest hearts first and it played fine then I downloaded deadmoney and hh was nowhere to be found. so in my opinion it could be about order, dead money might be [censored]in it all up, or the update is [censored] everything up for us. haven't we been through enough [censored] already? WTF!

This is my theory in a nutshell:

CA Disc, all CA DLC, no problems.

US Disc, CA Dead Money , CA Honest Hearts (both patched for compatibility), users must use CA versions of pre-order for everything to work.

US Disc, US Dead Money, CA Honest Hearts (this combination was never patched for because they pulled the US Dead Money the 2nd day), neither version of pre-order DLC will therefore work.

This is based on what people have been reporting so far.

I've been having problems with Honest Hearts as well. Never had issues with Dead Money back when that came out. I downloaded it from the store, fired up my last game save and was surprised to never have the quest pop up.

Right now I'm going to try the original poster's method and delete all game data and reinstall everything,
