Missing Quest Arrow

Post » Tue Oct 02, 2012 7:41 pm

I'm not complaining I just want to know why its gone missing, it has been missing all through my game so I can't even say it happened after I installed a mod. Most of the mods I have I did a test game first and all was well so I really have no idea, "JSwords" was a late addition as was "Economics of Skyrim" and "Melt down everything" Is there an ini setting that got changed maybe? Not that I've touched the ini just wondering where its got to.

=== Mods with non standard TES4 versions
Following mods have a TES4 version that isn't recognized as one of the standard versions (0.8 and 1.0). It is untested what effect this can have on the game, but presumably Oblivion will refuse to load anything above 1.0

Just suggesting the obvious here...

Do you have the quests selected as visible in your journal? Otherwise the arrow won't show.

yes its the arrow that points to what door to got through or what chest the quest item is in etc.

Look in your SkyrimPrefs.ini, and look for these two entries in the GamePlay section

bShowFloatingQuestMarkers= (quest markers that appear in-game)
bShowQuestMarkers= (quest markers on the map menu)

0=Off
1=On

Otherwise a mod you are using is forcing them off.

I have noticed the same problem in my game. The quest arrows are always visible on the map but in 3D some of them are missing. Which ones are visible seems to be quite random.
