T Mobile = Teen Mobile?

Post » Thu Dec 08, 2011 6:42 am

It's been something I and my gf always joke about, T Mobile commercial makes everything so pink and girly, it makes me wonder whether they are abandoning all male customers? I bet when a guy sees the pink commercial he has no intention to buy their service. if a guy did, I would be laughing at him, lol.

So you judge the service based on the style of the commercial?

Not sure what the point of this thread is really about, but I've been with T Mobile for a couple of years and am perfectly happy with the service. I couldn't possibly care less about what their commercials look like, hell, I don't hardly ever watch tv to see them anyway.

What pink? All I do I notice is the girl from the T-Mobile commercials.

I remember the dominant days of Jan Ullrich and the rest of that insane Telekom/T-Mobile cycling team, featuring also Andreas Kloden and Alex Vinokourov. Beast of a team. Back in those days, it was Catherine Jones that was doing the Ads during those tours. I don't think she was targeting a young teenage girl audience.

Edit: Ullrich has two l's.

T-Mobile creates the illusion that Networking and Social Connectivity via electronics is a girl thing.

It's just too fabulous for us men.

Since I haven't watched TV in close to (over?) a year now, and I use adblock, I've been pretty much cut off from the advertising world. So I don't really know what you're referencing. However, I've always considered Virgin Mobile to be one of the more emasculated wireless providers. "Virgin Mobile, for the virgin on the go!"

I never actually thought about those commercials like that at all. I have T-mobile and I'm male, kind of strange to judge a service based on the color of their commercials . However, you could judge them by their horrendous customer service, wish I didn't have a contract with them :glare:.

I've never had to deal with their customer service yet. It couldn't be any worse than my experience with Cingular...could it?

To be fair, I didn't have a problem with Cingular until they became AT&T...at which point I dropped them like a hot potato.

Well, I dropped AT&T because of their atrocious customer service, and now I wish I had stayed with them.
