Mod not uploading to workshop, succesfull but not really upl

Post » Wed Jun 20, 2012 8:15 am

I've updated my mod the moonpath to Elsweyr

But its no longer updating to the workshop.. It says upload succesfull, but it only takes 10 seconds (mod is 90 mb) . and the download is always a version from a week ago.
It works fine, and is running from the nexus.. but somehow it won't upload to steam workshop. (no errors given)

I've tried submitting it as a new mod (renaming the files) and then it does actually upload,, But I prefer not to resubmit a new mod when the old mod entry is fine. (and don't want to lose the ratings and such)

So I suspect my cloud account is somehow conflicted and it won't accept newer versions. I also cant sync my skyrim and creation kit as well (fails halfway)

Anybody know how to solve this. is their a way to clean out your steam cloud.?
cheers

I ran into the same problem. I couldn't figure out why people on Steam were not getting my updates. Finally I opened the .bsa file and discovered it never updates my scripts (or anything else for that matter?)

The only solution I've found is to delete all the Workshop created stuff (.bsa, .bsl, .ckm etc) and then re-publish. That seems to work fine, and it leaves the mod (don't have to create a new one) entry on Steam.

Because of this and several other issues, I've found myself loathing the prospect of doing anything on Steam Workshop. The only reason I continue with it is because my mod is fairly popular.

It's too bad they (Steam/Bethesda) haven't provided better support for the Workshop. Even a FAQ section could be useful. Currently it's kind of a guessing game as to what and how the Workshop handles things.

Hi Observe,, your solution sadly didn't work,, but i found the problem, and step 1 of the solution, best to share cuz its a doosy

Okey I removed 1 dialogue branch/topic.. but this had a wav file in the data dir.. Because i always have to drag in all te sound files, it got added to the bsa.. ginving an upload fail without error..

I suspect the last steam update (which fixed error 16) was a quick fix to ignore errors, causing some upload errors not to display..

freaky, anyway i'm now getting error 16 again on upload.. which is an improvement to no errors..
