PC mods for XBOX 360

Post » Mon May 21, 2012 9:01 pm

I did search the forums and found some stuff that briefly touched on this, but didn't find this anywhere.

I'm playing as a Nord with just over 200 hours in the game, all of these suggestions should of course, come after stability issues are fixed and game/ quest related bugs are taken care of. I haven't experienced anything that makes me want to stop playing, but have experienced several bugs that prevent me from progressing the quest.

I've watched some videos on youtube about the different mods available for the PC and one stood out to me and I feel should happen for the 360. The ability to fast travel to your homes throughout Skyrim, not just the holds, but the homes.

A house with all the smithing accoutrements readily available

A few other things that I think would add to the realism of the game would be to maybe have some more variety in NPC clothing, different colors, different textures, some torn, etc, etc.

The ability to further customise armor coloring/styling, maybe using some plant ingredients found in Skyrim.

I really want horse armor!

I liked the inventory management in Oblivion and feel that Skyrims inventory management could use a few tweaks towards that system.

More mannequins in every house to display all the [censored]in' armor found throughout the game.

More home customizations, ie; trophy racks like in the thieves guild, more book cases, more options in decorations. Hiring a painter to paint an epic battle scene and place in your home.

More random encounters throughout Skyrim.

Ability to add tattoo/face make up after character creation.

This is just a quick list of things that I would like to see, sorry for flooding the boards if these are already addressed.

That's a nice wish list.

To answer your question, no, these have not been addressed and probably won't be, as they are player-made mods and modding on consoles is illegal.

Some good ideas for DLC's maybe. (But if horse armour is the first DLC I'll scream. )

You'd effectively have to mod/JTAG your 360, which if you want to play online and get (Useless) patches is a big no-no.

I guess I should have clarified. These are PC mods that I'd like to see as DLC.

You can't use mods on the Xbox for numerous reasons including Microsoft/Sony's EULA. Breaking this is illegal and can't be discussed here.

Also, player mods won't be made available for the consoles.

If you want mods, get the PC version.

Not getting the PC version, and this is just a wish list.

My reasons for not getting the PC version are numerous, I'm aware of the graphical superiority of PC to console versions and the modding capabilities of the PC and lack thereof on consoles. Quite frankly, I just don't have the time or really the money to build a decent "rig" that could handle games like this.

I thought I read somewhere on the beth blog that they are not ruling out the possibility of player created mods as DLC. Now, I could be wrong though.

Until Sony or Microsoft allow mods on their platforms, you won't see mods on the consoles for this game.

I am closing this thread as it has already attracted posts that are problematical in nature.
