Mods work for me, not for subscribers

Hi,

I'm hoping you folks could help me determine what in the world is going on with my mods. The gist is that I believe I have made everything correctly on my end. All tests with various characters on my end show my mods to work for me. I upload them to Steam Workshop and subscribers then have the following issue:
  • The item the mod adds (an amulet with enchantments) is invisible on people's characters, though the enchantments show in the Active Effects window.

A few savvier subscribers have opened my mod with their CK and have verified that everything is as it should be.
What is even stranger, is that these people save my mod with their CK, without making any changes, and it then works fine for them!

I looked at the CK bugs thread and did not see anything about corruption of .esp's from Steam-Workshop-uploading... and even if there was a corruption introduced, why would a subscriber simply saving the mod without changing anything wipe this so-called corruption? Doesn't make any sense. Also, lots of mods are working fine out of the Workshop, so why would I be getting some kind of corruption.

I have had subscribers send me their save files with characters who cannot see the amulet. I fire up the save on my machine and I see the amulet just fine. I open the racemenu and can see the amulet on every combination of race and six. This makes sense to me, because the savvier subscribers (potentially mod makers themselves) have told me that everything looks good and they are at a loss as to why this is happening too.

This is also happening to a helmet mod that I have done. All my mods are showing this invisibility for others, and I cannot figure out why. I have validated the tool cache via steam, no problems detected. CK version is at 1.4.23.0

Any ideas or suggestions greatly appreciated!

Bump from 9 pages back to see if anyone else might know something about this.

Someone else can explain it better but It sounds like you edited a default script and used that for your mod instead of creating a new script. On the user machine, its using the undedited default script. I think i have that right. There is a thread about it, but it's buried and I cant remember the title.

Like a Papyrus script? I didn't touch any of that, and there's no script entry that gets loaded in the .esp.
