Molag Bal Quest Question, maybe spoiler, but don't think so.

This dude is evil. I encountered his quest, but out of role-playing reasons, I kind of want to play the "good guy" who does not want to obey a demonic quest-line. However, in doing so, do I forever forfeit any rewards I could have gotten by obeying him and doing the quest willingly? I feel like willingly doing something evil is against my character's character, but I did sort of already obey him in a sense. It's just that he asked me to do something really terrible. If I ask him to release me, could I do the 2nd part of the quest and get the reward later, or do I need to pretend that his will is something I want to take part in while I'm in his presence in order to get my reward from him?

I'm stuck deciding whether to help the deadric prince or not.

In order to clarify, there is a skirmish for who will get a reward from the daedra, and the stronger person would find an opportunity to go down and retrieve the rewards from the daedra. The thing is, he asks me to do more for him. Either my reward is sinfully earned through a murder, or my reward is freedom.... freedom for having to go through the quest? Surely there are consequences that I dodge when choosing to be free from it, or are there NO consequences for assisting a daedric overlord?

After doing Azura's quest, the devote follower is dismissed and can be used as a companion. There is another Daedric shrine where you have to sacrifice a follower. So I used Azura's devote follower as the sacrifice. Mwhahahahaha.

Will there be any ramifications to consorting with Daedric Princes? I mean, I sort of want to find a way to be involved with the temple, kind of like in past games. Wouldn't becoming a champion of one of these deadra hurt my standing with some other entities in this game?

If you're a "good guy" you shouldn't help a daedric prince, or I guess it depends on your definition of a "good guy".

By "unwilling tool," you mean you unwillingly obey the princes?

I was tempted to become an "unwilling escapee" from their shrine just to prevent any ramifications there would be in this game for helping Daedra. Are there consequences? There ought to be.

there are no consequences to helping or ignoring the daedra quests. the best you'll get is a guard comment; people will react to you the same no matter what you do with the daedra. there are also no temples to join or typical 'good guy' factions/guilds. this is a common complaint; that no matter how good or evil you behave in skyrim, the people just don't care and will treat you the same.

Nothing nada , zilch. You'll never develop some character flaw beyond your control to manifest doing anything in the game. Was a huge issue for me initially until I read the bugs for the game posted as it stands then realized to get what should really be here might have also included even more bug opportunities , so I roleplay the characters now , to add my own depth with less possibilty of game breaking problems. And yes I tell myself this instead of getting angry about poor story development the moment I click on the game to run it , especially after completing the MQ's on one character.
