Monetary System in Skyrim

Post » Mon Jun 04, 2012 8:56 am

I just wanted to share my thoughts again on the Monetary system on Skyrim.

In my opinion, the gold isn't really valuable to have. I have only around 15k and I've had the game since it came out. I just don't spend money on much, only houses and furniture. I wish the General Stores or Sellers had items that were more valuable and much more expensive.

Otherwise, I just like looking at the Gold add up.

Share your thoughts as well.

I spend a lot of money on ebony arrows and training. Any time I'm at an alchemist shop selling potions or dragon bones, I check to see if they're carrying any rare missing ingredients. I'll also buy potions that so far haven't been easy to come by like invisibility or paralysis.

I'm level 47, about 120 hours in. My character only owns one home (fully furnished with kitchen and alchemy), have not bought a horse and have about 50,000 gold. However, if I run into anyone training in light armor, one handed or achery, that will put a serious dent in the speptims at this point.

But yes there could be more to do with the gold but I've seen worse. Much worse.

Very true, I do agree.

I was going to get some Light Armow Training up to 5, but it costed around 1500 Gold, and since I am running low on money (15k), that would make a big gap in my bank.

Otherwise, I just try selling some of the valuable necklases to some General stores, etc, unfortunately they only have a low amount of money.

I have 400k+ and nothing to spend it on. I don't loot bodies and chests anymore, every item that can possibly drop is worse that the ones I already have.
