Monster Hunter

This is an AMAZING game that is EXTREMELY under raterd and underlooked. I know Todd has never mentioned it, but i really think that Skyrim borrowed alot of things from it. Like the dragons and wyverns in the game. They are similar to the ones in skyrim, except skyrim dragons are probably better. Another thing that i think Skyrim borrowed is the weapon and armor making from dragon bone. This has been a feature in Monster Hunter since forever. Once you defeat the dragon/wyvern, you can search it for material (which has a cool knife carving animation) and you can get the materials you need. Its an excellent title for PSP or Wii. If you are looking for a game to play while wating for skyrim, this is a great choice. One of the many underlooked gems of gaming.

Yeah, I was hooked since the original PS2 version. Shame it never really picked up outside of Japan. It's so popular over there, that they were able to afford creating a http://www.techdollogic.com/images/events/img_techdollogic_monster_hunter_01.jpg of one of their monsters at Universal Studios Japan.

Nothing bad, just that it was more of a general post rather than being specifically a Skyrim one.

I talked ALOT about how skyrim MAY have borrowed from it. It has ALOT to do with Skyrim. And your right. But it didnt get deleted, it got moved some other [censored] forum. I swear, moderators piss me off hardcoe sometimes.

Well, ya know, just because it was in another game doesn't mean that's where they got the idea from. I mean running and jumping were in Super Mario first, nobody goes around saying Todd got the idea for your character run and jump from that. for all you know Todd might not even know monster hunter exists.

All the things you claimed they took from Monster Hunter have been in games for ever. Crafting from the remains of a dragon? Dragonscale armor? Dragonbone Armor? Dragonfang swords/daggers? They are all things that have been in games and fictions for ages.
