Moore/Grant...I should shoot them : Fallout: New Vegas

I am "idolized" by the NCR, I have just informed Moore that the BoS will fight with us...which, for some reason, gained me NCR "infamy"??????? Then I'm treated as some kind of second rate merc by Moore and Grant when it comes to the President's visit??
At this point I am wondering why I even bothered to help the NCR. I can't draw a weapon without getting shot? I'm restricted from areas of Hoover Dam?

Right about now I'm strongly wanting to shoot Moore between the eyes with my 10mm, and then gut Ranger Grant with a machete! What is up with this?? Why are Moore and Grant limiting my access to info and Hoover? Why is it that creating an alliance with the BoS has gained me NCR infamy? You would think the NCR would accept all the help they could scrounge? They Had no problem with the Boomers joining. Some words of advice would be appreciated before I de-brain Moore and Grant and decide to go on an NCR destruction spree.

Moore does not like the Brotherhood. Don't worry it does not hurt your rep with NCR that badly.

Edit: If NCR is now attacking you because you got the BoS to help then thats got to be a glitch.

But I am still being restricted in my access to info and Hoover by them. This can't be good? How am I to defend the president when I can't pull a weapon?

You need to A. Ask for full access to the grounds and permission to carry your weapons. B. To save the president, the best way to do it is check the Vertibird after Kimball is gone from the chopper, and inspect it to find a bomb. C. Report to grant as soon as Kimball emerges (You'll hear 'Hail to the Chief' start to play when he comes out, and keep hitting the talk button on Grant, and do it until he has a dialogue window and show him the bomb.

To save the president you don't even need to draw a weapon, you just find out about something suspicious (not gonna tell what) and report it to Ranger Grant. He will then blow off the speech, just like that. There are three things that you can find out about, and one of them requires you to draw a weapon, however, the place where you have to draw a weapon isn't a place where the NCR people can see you.
Find out about everything before the quest start, it will help. Talk to people and look everywhere

Ummm...to kill an assasin??? I have no idea what I am required to do to protect the President, as of yet. I'm just saying...I'm restricted by the people I'm supposedly "idolized" by, who want my help protecting him. It makes absolutely no sense. I'm tempted to let him get shot (or whatever is upcoming) and be done with it. How can you devote a play through to the NCR and be treated this way? My point is this...it makes NO sense! I should be leading the protection team...instead I'm left in the dark and handcuffed. All because of forminfg an alliance with the BoS? An alliance that the NCR desperately needs? It makes no sense.

And it has nothing to do with the Brotherhood.

Col. Moore does not like the BoS because of what happened at Helios One. Though she doesn't like them she can somewhat understand your point of view. It gains so little infamy nobody cares. Plus the BoS is pure ba dass.

Dude you're a mercenary not in the armed forces. There is still protocal, and if you're really down with the NCR why would you need to have a gun on stage with the President. Just like how Caeser doesn't want you to have weapons when you talk to him.
