A more-than-likely-already-mentioned-DLC-idea

Post » Thu Jun 14, 2012 10:56 am

I remember during the Oblivion days the number of people who wanted Kvatch rebuilt, and I too wanted that in a big way. Skyrim rolls around and yet another city is in ruins. I think you all know where this is going haha.

I would love to see Helgen re-built in a lengthy DLC. Quests to go find people who fled to repopulate the town including quests to find people to open up shops (Suikoden 3-ish I know)

Along with that the wood-cutting aspect of the game could be used by the main character to help rebuild (just a small idea to add to the story).

After all is said and done, you are named Jarl by those in the town and whoever is running things (either Ulfric Stormclock or General Tullius (i assume he is in charge if you picked that side to join, I didn't) formally declares you Jarl.

Helgen could also be a place to add a 3rd enchanting trainer (not sure why there are only 2).

Feel free to use this thread to throw in ideas and maybe our voice will be heard? It could happen :P

or instead rebuild the conquered cities from the Civil War quests.
You finish the quests and with the dlc 150 or so in-game days later it is rebuilt and even minor changes or large changes.

I like that some cities are permanently damaged from the Civil War, this adds a sense of realism. Many countries have ruined cities and such for decades after a civil war. I'd like to see Helgen rebuilt though I don't really see it adding much to the game overall, I personally feel there are other things the devs could be spending their time on.

Becoming a Jarl would be cool though.

Jarl of Helgen, I like it. Hopefully it would have a cool banner though and not a lame one. Maybe one with a dragon's head on it to represent the old town and it's inhabitants.

You can't be a Jarl in Helgen as it's a part of the Falkreath Hold http://images.wikia.com/elderscrolls/images/c/c6/FalkreathHold.jpg

But you could get a minor title as some sort of leader as Rorik of Rorikstead is.

Says he wants sense of realism, so cities from civil war being messed up still... Helgen is in a condition ten fold worse than the others wants that rebuilt...

I am okay with the idea but i don't want to rebuild it myself especially not in a DLC.

Helgen isn't just slightly ruined, it's completely destroyed.. If Whiterun or Windhelm were completely destroyed and void of any inhabitants then obviously I'd want them rebuilt.

True about Falkreath Hold, didn't think of that.

As soon as you said 'you can all see where this is going', I thought Winterhold lol. Helgen would be nice to be seen rebuilt, but a rebuilt Winterhold would mean there is an Imperial city sized city in Skyrim, which would be great.

Maybe we can go to war with Falkreath and win our independence :P

Could technically still be Jarl of it, an exception could be made allowing them to both inhabit the one hold, Falkreath would have to be prettty heartless to reject such a proposal given Helgen's recent troubles.

All i know is as Dovahkiin, i think we deserve a high ranking of power amongst people. The last Dragonborn was Tiber Septim, and look at him, he became a freacking Emperor... and he didn't kill a single Dragon, or save the world from doom.

Fine. The Jarl of Falkreath stops by to get me to swear fealty to him and I CHOP HIS HEAD OFF! haha
