Morokei Mask

Post » Wed Jun 20, 2012 4:22 am

From what I understand the dragon priest mask Morokei is supposed to have the fortify shout enchantment as well as fortify magicka regen. At this point the mask is bugged and only has the one fortify magicka regen effect.

Does anyone know is this is going to be fixed? It would make Morokei SOOO much better.

I never heard that, but if that is the case, that would be pretty awesome.

I don't know what it does exactly, but I just defeated Morkei a couple of days ago.
What was a pain in the butt, I can tell you that.

I wish I could take advantage of that fix. Unfortunately I have it on the xbox :/

No quick fix for me. But yeah if you check the skyrim wiki (brilliant resource by the way) they say that the Morokei mask is supposed to have the fortify shout effect AND fortify magicka regen.

i would post the link for the skyrim wiki but appparently im too much of a rookie to post links.

Bump.

Do any Bethesda officials have anything to say about this? Is Morokei going to be fixed?

Is it on the 1.4 list? There is your answer, for now. Nobody knows what the next will address.

Maybe the next patch will fix this. That'd make the mask that much more great.

No there is nothing about Morokei in the 1.4 list. Looks like we are going to have to wait for the next one, if its fixed.

The wikia? That is NOT a "Brilliant Resource"

Here's a far, far, far, more reliable one: http://www.uesp.net/ (It's been around since Daggerfall).

UESP only mentions the 100% Magicka Regeneration Rate, no mention of shorter waiting time for shouts.

Actually, UESP does in fact say there is an unused entry in the master file indicating the Morokei Mask was intended to have Fortify Shout 20%. It even provides a link to a mod to fix it. It's just listed in the notes under the mask list.

Oh thats my bad. Miscommunication. I was thinking about the UESP when I said "brilliant resource" because that one has way more info and is much more legit. Its the UESPWiki.

A metal mask in front of your face (and, therefore, also your mouth) enhances the strenght of your shouts? Wow, never thought of that one...

Don't remember if things has changed but the last time I compared the UESP and Elder Scrolls wiki, the elder scrolls wiki had 5x more information on Skyrim than UESP.

It tends to have more info, but it's FAR less reliable.

Are you mixing up the Morokei mask and the Amulet of Talos? The amulet description is supposed to say, "Time between shouts reduced by 20%" but the text on the screen keeps saying 0% when it describes what the amulet does, IIRC. I think it still works though. The shouts seem to come back faster if I have the amulet on. :tes:

They're not confused about anything, the Wikia and UESP support the OP's question. So I suppose its a bug

You quoted before I did my editing and I haven't seen the wikis so.... ok. The official strategy guide only mentions 100% magicka regen on the Morokei mask. :tes:

No, I know about the Amulet of talos. That is a seperate bug. It will give you the fortyify shout effect but it still reads 0% in the active effects menu (LIES!)

I remember a dev/mod mentioning that there are two items that can give you the fortify shout enchantment (presumably Morokei and the Amulet of Talos). These two items, coupled with the blessing of Talos can give you up to 60% shout fortification which is pretty awesome.

Problem is ( as far as I know) the Amulet of Talos is the ONLY item in game with the fortify shout enchantment. Morokei is SUPPOSED to have it but sadly it does not.

Are there no fixes for the xbox then? I use Morokei all the time, it and a regen ring and regen robes work well together.
