Morrowind and Cyrodiil - Possible DLC?

This video shows that Bethesda recreated the lands of Cyrodiil and Morrowind:

Interesting...

Thoughts?

Chances are slim for them being apart of a DLC, but I wouldn't mind heading back to Highrock or Morrowind, or atleast what's left of it.

We'll probably get to go to a new plain of Oblivion, most likely to be Hircines hunting grounds or some other Daedric realm.

Well, apparently Beth said there would be two major DLCs. And, as another comment pointed out, why would they just re-create the land like that? Maybe it's just for a simple Easter Egg, but I don't know. I think there's a good chance.

They weren't created as an easter egg or a base for DLC, it's purely for visual purposes, though there are hordes of modders out there trying to delete the barriers so they can add some way to get to Cyrodiil, so if you're on PC and you have a Nexus account I'd just wait until the CK is released.

Very, very, very unlikely.

People have been suggesting Morrowind/Cyrodil DLC for a while now since somebody first put forth the theory. But it's a tad unrealistic.

Yes, Morrowind and Cyrodil are Present in Skyrim, but only as low detail terrain. It's so that from the highest points on the map you can see the geographics of the neighbouring provinces instead of flat or featureless terrain. the land is itself textured in the lowest detail distant land textures.

For them to recreate even one of provinces properly and to populate it with higher detail textures, terrain features, buildings, towns, cities, NPCs, items, quests and dialogue would take as long as it took to make Skyrim itself. At which point, a lot of people will have moved onto new games and the costs incurred making the DLC may not be recouped through sales.

Oblivion also had the neighbouring provinces in it, but there were no DLC/expansions that added them.

No. I think it's entirely possible they'll have DLC of Morrowind or Cyrodiil. Thing is, I don't think it'll be the entire province. I think it might be like they did with Honest Hearts or Old World Blues in Fallout New Vegas. Honest Hearts was Utah, it just wasn't ALL of Utah. Just a section of those provinces maybe with quests and npcs and such. It's been done by other gamesas games now so there's a precedent for it.

i'd much rather explore a new, extravagantly terrifying deadric realm than revist a province.

IF we are going back to Cyrodiil and Morrowind it would take months before it is release.....I hope we go back but you'll just have to play Morrowind and Oblivion until then...if it's true

I would love to have access to two or more prov's, with updated environmentals, etc. Do what other developers do....put them on multidisc sets. Would it work though?

I'd love to have Morrowind and cyrodiil redone. Since the landmass is there, it may happen. DLC would be much easier than creating the real game, since the lore, characters, architecture, cities and creatures have already been conceived in previous games.

I highly doupt it. The landmass was also in Oblivion and Bethesda didn't recreate Morrowind or anyother province only modders did.
