There is a good amount of nice places, so it really is hard to pick one.

Although few can compare to the beauty of the Bittercoast in Morrowind with MGSO. ;)

The swamp area from Morthal to Solitude is my favorite.

Fallowstone Cave http://i1254.photobucket.com/albums/hh611/Trace9569/HPIM1197.jpg Blackreach and I think it's called Lost Tongue Overlook. Those are my favorites.

There is a big hill N-NW of Riften a ways, mostly rolling meadows with a few rock outcroppings and quite a few beautiful trees all in yellow and orange fall foliage. In early morning or late evening, when the breeze blows the falling leaves around and the suns rays slant in softly from the horizon, there is no more beautiful place in Skryim, to me.

It's located between Boulderfall Cave, and the Rift Watchtower.

I loved standing on top of the mountains/cliffs that were attached to Solitude and the docks, great, great view.

I can't remember the name but the pass NW? of Whiterun. Go through that and on to the other side of the mountain and the view from up there is great.

I think I know what you're referring to... on the way to Labrinthian? kinda near Mehrune's Temple? Loved that stretch of snowy waste. (no sarcasm). You're kind of in a valley with ruins stretching above you

If you go to the imperial camp in winterhold, then go to the nearby cliff face and look towards the college. I think that is the best view in skyrim.
The Gildergreen grotto and certain parts of blackreach are pretty stunning as well.

The entire game bleeds life, cries art, and sweats creation, so choosing just one spot is tough. But off the top of my head, Fallowstone Cave, Sovngarde, Blackreach, most spriggan dens....

I like the mountains south of the throat of the world (the pale pass going into cyrodil). Those mountains really feel like vast badass mountains sort of like when they light the beacons in lord of the rings. The Rift is also a favourite of mine, and also i really like the scenery in the Reach. They got some badass waterfalls and cool rocky mountains.

Gonna make an addition here: The Temple of Xrib, specifically the final room of the place. Absolutely stunning.

Like many others I love the autumnal forests in the Rift, but I think my overall favourite spot would have to be Clearpine Pond in Haafingar.

The Whiterun steppe. But then everything is beautiful, the only place I dislike is the Rift and that's just personal preference.

There's a spot on the path up to HIgh Hrothgar where you can see all the way to the mountains that Solitude is in if it's a clear day. Absolutely breathtaking landscape work.

The first time I walked through the city gates of Markarth my jaw dropped. I thought, "Now I know I'm in a TES game!" Freakin awesome.

Skirting along the mountains south of Windhelm on the way to Riften was very pretty - never been there before.

Black Reach - Silent City - Hall of Rumination - Throne of Contemplation. What else can I say, dress your characters in their finest, have them take a seat, and then record the screen saver motion camera mode when it kicks in. the music and panoramic backdrops are awesome!

Bloated Mans Grotto - Prior to Hircines quest it is absolutely beautiful - spent a couple hours just exploring after finding Bolar's shrine to Thalos. There are hidden treasure chests, gold ore veins, and lots of other visual/ sceneric pleasures that you don't see from the ground level trail. Climbing to the top of the central plateau is great rock hopping fun!

Lost Valley - Astounding in its natural beauty, it must to be the true homeland/sanctuary of the Forsworn, they certainly fight harder and are more deadly here than in any other location. Looking at this place you can understand why!

Deepwood Vale - Another Forsworn sanctuary, with an access that is much more along the lines of Shangri - La and very beautiful in it's isolation.

Markarth - City of Stone - Dwemer heritage, with roots deep into the mountain side!

Bonestrewn Crest - The Eastmarch. Nothing too special once there, but when viewed from afar, it features the classic visual of a Dragon circling about this solitary small mountain peak (the lonely mountain anyone?) protecting it's lair. A Fantasy game visual at its best!

What's your favorite/best looking place in Skyrim? I'm talking about natural outdoorsy places, and caves. So far mine are: Mara's eye pond, lost knife cave, and half-moon bay. I have to say that Half Moon bay was the most beautiful thing I've ever seen in a game before ;^;

So what's your favorite Skyrim outdoorsy place?

I don't know all of the individual dungeons, but region wise, I am a big fan of Winterhold and The Reach.

Lost Valley Redoubt, when you approach it from the direction of Bilegulch Mine and the entire complex sprawls in front of you. Clear weather is necessary for the whole ruin to be visible though, I think.

The ruins leading up to Hag's End are also very impressive.

Hunting down the Forsworn never got boring with tourist attractions of this calibre
