My record is 5. On my way from Whiterun to Rorikstead. 1 circled a nearby mountain, while one circled above me, and a third attacked me. After I killed the one I could I continued to Rorikstead, where I saw Alduin raise the 5th dragon. I wish I could've got those other two dragons to land to get their souls, Oh well.

How many have you encountered on one trip?

Dragons are so shy around me... I've never gotten that many in one journey.

But it may just be me overlooking the 'random' part of 'random dragon encounters.'

hmmm counting ones that don't attack? 6.. 1st two a little way's outside Markarth, they were at 1st attacking each other, then one came after me, dead, cross the river the other attacks. dead. round a mt, cross a bridge nother Dragon flying around to my left. turned right. little ways down the road hit the plain, near a Gaint camp, dragon flying around flaming gaint and mammoths. steared clear of that one to. headed toward Windhelm, when I got to the stables boom... frost Dragon, Helped the guards kill that one. went into town, sold some junk, left traveled towards Winterhold, saw another dragon sitting on a word wall...backed my happy A@@ up and went around..., figured if I made it to winterhold and the college I was darn well gonna stay their for a while! What I get for traveling off road.

Like 4 or so, one fight was two at once, never thought that was possible. Random encounter right next to a nest. Was lowlevel too so it was a damn harsch fight.

I had 7 on a round trip Starting in Whiterun and visiting Dawnstar (Which I had 2 visits from Dragons, one on arrival and one on Departure.)

Although 2 of these were from passing the Dragon nests in the mountains, so was really only 5 random I guess

Only 4 for me. Two of those came in a double attack.
