supersledge plus super slam (with high luck, high str and melee at least 60), hands down. you can walk right into a group of 20 or 30 enemies and knock them down, finishing them off and crippling their legs and weapon arms as they scramble to their feet, without going into VATS at all.

Well this is a pc mod, but the m21 with rifle scope. I think it has 95 dm and over 200 dps. Really effective as a sniper rifle. Other then that, I think the useful and effective gun is This Machine.

I'd say Gobi. But only because of completely ridiculous 5x crit multiplier.

Sawyer, where were you with your balancing bat when they were adding 5x multipliers on weapons.

I use All American a lot, the ammo is rather easy to come by, and I love the insane amount of range it has because of the scope

Of the weapons I've used so far, I would have to say a fully modded Sniper Rifle for Guns, and the YCS-186 for Energy Weapons.

I am the most efficient killing machine.

It doesn't matter what weapon I use. I could kill a deathclaw with a teddy bear.

With the right character setup, the gobi sniper rifle is the best and most efficient weapon IMO. 20% base crit chance combined with the gobi's x5 crit mulitplier, better crits perk, and JSP ammo, you will do at least 180 dmg every shot. Also, the gobi is semi auto, has a 6 round magazine, degrades very slowly, uses very inexpensive and common ammunition, and isnt hard to acquire. No other weapon really has all these qualities in the same amounts.

Oh Baby!
It's silent and deals a LOT of damage.
It also doesn't require ammo.

The non-unique Sniper is better than the Gobi Rifle.

Not including the Alien Blaster which is pretty much the best weapon in the entire game..

GUNS
The CZ57 Avenger has the highest DPS in the game.
The AMR has the highest base damage. The non-unique Sniper hits harder however if you have a 100% crit build as it does 124 damage on a crit compared to the AMRs 110 non-crit hit.

ENERGY WEAPONS
The Gattling Laser has the highest DPS with the unique Gauss Rifle having the highest base damage.

MELEE
Oh Baby! is the best melee weapon on the game in both DPS and damage.

UNARMED
Ballistic fist is the best.

EXPLOSIVE
Fat Man obviously but there are only a very few limited amount of shots for this weapon in the entire game.

Oh Baby! is certainly better than the Ballistic fist and the CZ57 Avenger is better than the Gattling Laser but how close quarters weapons compare to ranged ones depends in the situation, skills, perks, playstyle, etc.

Oh Baby! don't have Legion Assault, Scribe Counter nor Ranger Tackles.

CZ57 have a spread of 2.6 IIRC, how is good is that going up against 3 shot (without Fast shot) between 2 secs which easily get heads repeatedly and 1.5 damage is beyond me.

I love using This Machine and a silenced Sniper Rifle, or Gobi. All three got me through the Legendary Deathclaw 3 seperate times.

I would say a good melee weapon build with Oh, Baby! really is ... well, too easy. You can knock almost everything down and kill it easily. Including the legate (I was shocked how easy it was).

It gets boring very, very fast though. Give me guns any day of the week.

The "Tesla Beaton Proto type" is pretty insane,
too bad it looks stupid and uses up ammo like like a granny uses loo roll.

Doesnt need it when its OHKing everything with a power attack. Infact it OHKs most things with a normal attack if your Melee skill is decent.

Knock Knock I just killed 14 Cazadores with very little trouble. They are like baseballs, and knock knock is like a baseball bat hitting cazadores out of the park. I also cleared out the quarry with it a few hours ago, but I have to say. Oh Baby! is a close second.

What i am saying is you can just running in and give the spanking the Centurion/DeathClaw/whatever could be dangerous in melee of their life time without even trying.

With Og, Baby! I still have to judge distance and time my power attack, and hit some stimpaks when ganged; with Ballistic Fist/Pushy I just keep punching a do a quick block, a gecko steak in between is more than enough healing for the fight.

Gobi is better than regular sniper if you don't care about stealth because IIRC it has a higher rate of fire.

I prefer the Brush Gun with Cowboy perk though.
