Not "some", the problem (especially pre-1.2 patch) was directly reproducible. It's so bad that they actually recommend buying new hardware.

But yeah, the game is awesome. I consistently play Bethesda's game for months to years (Morrowind blew my mind when I found it). I can see myself playing this game for even longer if it starts working better (which I have complete faith that it will).

how can they tell that skyrim is the most played game though ??, since people dont "log in" to some server, how can they track how much time people have put in ?, or is it meant to be the most offline game play because theres no way that is true..

Well if you look at how many people have ranted on forums all over the internet, "I've been playing Skyrim for 70/80/90/100+ hours" etc. before running into whatever bug sure it's believable.

And once the bugs are out of the way? Even more so.

Edit: Looks like the gameplay data in question is collected voluntarily from a pretty decently sized pool of players. 10 million is a solid enough sample size that I can believe it's accuracy.

Looking ar my friends list its almost always battlefield and mw3. I dont even play shooters so its not like I met my people on one. Theres maybe 3 people on skyrim at any given time and my friends list is full. I know thats not scientific data but you yourself are judging it by forum posts. It gets a lot of posts partially due to bugs.

Hard to believe Skyrim has been played more in less then a month then games that came out 11 months ago... but what do I know

Only reason is Halo 4 and Mass Effect 3 aren't out yet. Anyone wanna bet those 2 games added together will have less bugs than this one.

Across all three platforms? Pretty sure Modern Warfare 3 destroyed Skyrim with playtime... especially with the PS3 version being unplayable and all.

EDIT: After reading it, it won most played RPG, and the competitors either svcked, or weren't out for very long either... the most played game WAS Modern Warfare 3 as far as total playtime goes. Skyrim only won longest sessions. Misleading title, hoooo!!! Also [censored] the PDFs take forever to load.

It requires Steam and in all seriousness, how many people run steam in complete offline mode. Its probably an extremely small minority.
