I'd prefer to fit out my ranger in light armor, but some mix and match of armor and clothes would be ok.

Basically curious about what would make a decent-looking outfit for a ranger character.

If female, I always go for the forsworn boots/gloves and the Saviors Hide armor with usually an unenchanted tan mage hood (so I can enchant it myself).

I would say scaled armor or fur,maybe a mix.Leather would work also but to me it just doesn't look right for a ranger.

The TG base armor also looks good for rangers.

It is a very ranger-y type of armor though.

Hide, Studded & Scaled look more like Conan than a ranger, I think. Leather doesn't look good to me. Maybe it's just because I play male characters. Elven looks like the Thalmor, and Glass... well, I haven't actually ever used glass, but I think it would be rather alien looking.

Dragonscale is probably not an option, either.

Savior's Hide looks too ... sixahh ... for me. Fine on females, but when I tried it once on my male Nord (for about 2 seconds) I just thought, 'Dude, where are your pants!?!?'

Saviors hide is pretty nice and the bonuses are pretty dope.

Yeah, it's sad that in order to obtain the cool looking armor in game, you have to join the TG or DB to get it.

At least those on the PC can just console command an unenchanted set to themselves.

I would say nightingale but I have a hard time seeing a ranger as a thief...

I have a hard time seeing a ranger in batman nightingale armor. That [censored]'s just too...superhero-y looking.

It's the only armor in the game with a cloak...

With a giant batman signal on the chest, and the armor looks like it's made of rubber.
