Mount and Blade: Skyrim

I would pay $50 to the modder who makes a mount and blade style mod with Skyrim. Anyone else agree? I love both games intensely. Hard to choose which to play even.

Yes. I'd sell my Xbox, and buy a PC version so I could play it, too.

It really depends on what you mean. Like massive battles, the click drag directional combat, or what? A lot of that wouldn't be easy. The reason M&B can handle 100 guys on screen at once is very simple AI and very low quality graphics. And I don't think it would be easy to add the directional based combat, especially since that kind of stuff is part of the engine.

come to think of it, Warband would be awesome if it had a character creator like the one on skyrim or APB, heck even the global agenda one could do.

warband is an awesome game with very cool mods like cRPG, but it just need better models and graphics

A Big battle in Skyrim??? Impossible

Spoiler
i killed so many of the own guys in close combat at Whiterun. They are running straight between you and your enemy and you easy don't look through the people which is your own, which is an enemy.

No way could Skyrim's engine be able to handle large battles like that. It's a downside of prioritizing graphics. Games like Warband will ALWAYS have inferior graphics to games like Skyrim (not that this is a bad thing, just reality).

Basically Skyrim theme, mount and blade game. Actually, it would be best to do it with all of Tamriel so that the different nations could all participate. And yeah, I was thinking Skyrim graphics, but that wouldn't be very fair, which is understandable.

I've really wanted to see a fantasy sort of Mount and Blade, beyond just humans.

I only just bought Warband on the steam sale, will probably end up comparing it to Skyrim's combat a lot...and I already kind of know which will likely have more to learn from the other from what I've heard about M&B.

As a counter point, I did all of the Stormcloak quests and not a single one of my men fell at my hand. That is definitely related to how good a player is at picking targets, aiming, and attacking. Besides, M&B has the exact same issue of all the soldiers looking the same (More so than Skyrim, I can easily pick off the one guy in red armor surrounded by my allies in blue) and the exact same risk of friendly fire.

Edit: And I'm just going to point out now that M&B has the battles and combat style the OP is looking for, and has the ability to make custom maps and add your own quests and such. It's much more feasible to port the world of Skyrim (Or all of Tamriel) to M&B than it is to port the game mechanics of M&B to Skyrim.

I made the mistake of not even thinking of graphics before posting this. I'm basically thinking theme, in which case, it might as well be the whole Elder Scrolls. Though, I wouldn't mind if the mod were made with similar graphics. Years down the road, these graphics will be dated and easy to run.

Perhaps a M&B mod in that case. :) Overall, I think M&B's graphics are pretty good (considering what's "under the hood").

I like them too, no complaints. The only problem I've ever had with mount and blade is just getting my [censored] handed to me in "With Fire and Sword". ... ... It's so hard to get started >.<
