Mouse and Keyboard on Consoles

Post » Tue Jun 05, 2012 11:23 pm

I personally prefer the mouse and keyboard control compared to the limited function of the 360/ps3 controllers. Just wondering if it is at all possible to enable or add mouse and keyboard functionality to consoles. I know xbox supports it standard and it just relies on the specific game to enable functionality. If not then button remapping would be awesome, especially if i can get some quicksave/load going for consoles. Something like clicking both sticks at once, or both bumpers.

This.

However, the UI was made for controllers so are you sure you'd rather us a mouse + keyboard?

There are adapters you can get to use a mouse and keyboard for console games, but they are quite expensive.

The only reason I would want a keyboard would be for the ability to hotkey items to numbers (1-9) and fast swap between them. Although even if I had a keyboard plugged into my Xbox, there would be no way for me to set it in the options.
