Mouse buttons not responding at all

Post » Wed May 30, 2012 11:27 pm

Hello All,

First of all lets get the nuts and bolts out of the way. I am running Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit. I am running a fresh install (2 week old) I have done all my windows updates, and have the newest drivers for my sound card, video card, mouse, keyboard, etc. etc.

I recently installed the game and am just trying to get it setup to play. I get thru the opening cut scene and get to the character build area.

I can navigate using the mouse and build the character but after hitting "r" to finish, there is a pop up that says "OK" or "Cancel" I can't click on this to get past it. The pop up registers the cursor going across it and will light up the correct word, but no matter what I can't use the mouse buttons to complete this nor can i use the keyboard.

i have even tried plugging in my gamepad but the game doesn't recognize it at all.

Any suggestions??

Thanks

In the settings ..there is a {X} choice for 360 controler. Check its on.

You mention going to windows update....how many time did you go ? On a fresh install I had to go back to the Update 4 different times...each time there were updates that did not show in previous visits.

First time to win update ..had a crap ton of updates...did them all. Went right back after the reboot, now it showed me SP1 update. Some updates require other updates to have already been installed before they show.

Keep going back till you see...your computer is up to date.

Try the TAB keyboard key...then enter when something is highlighted.

After mouse over..scroll mouse wheel up and down then Click....

The game won't recognize the name you choose for your character. Try change to a name (a single one) with only one cap letter in the beginning and without accents or simbols: ` ′ ^ ~ ! ' > : , _ - * + " ...

In the Gameplay Settings are two boxes, one is for a gamepad, the other is for Rumble. If you are not using the gamepad, make sure both of those are unchecked.

Also, make sure there are no background apps running that want to take the focus of the computer away from the game.
