Mouse frustration. The regular "fixes" dont work.

Post » Mon May 28, 2012 10:13 pm

So I have the mouse moving like an old man at a deli. I need to lift my mouse in order to turn even 90 degrees.

360 controller isn't checked.
Sensitivity is at the highest.
Set iPresentInterval=0, bMouseAcceleration=0
Turned off mouse acceleration outside the game.
Even replaced bMouseHeadingSensitivity with fMouseHeadingYScale=0.0100, and fMouseHeadingXScale=0.010 and messed around with the values. (which didn't change anything)

Now I know other people have this problem, and I know that the majority of people dont have this problem. Can ANYONE please help me out with this?

The usual problem is mouse lag and not mouse sensitivity. Is your mouse lagging? i.e. you move it and then it responds a second later, or is it just very low sensitivity? Have you tried playing in a window? If playing in a window fixes the problem head over to Nexus for the Simple Borderless Window mod. Playing with a fullscreen window using Simple Borderless Window has fixed practically all my Skyrim woes.

Are you using an old patch or the latest patch? Mouse issues were supposedly addressed in either the most recent or the one prior to that, and it mostly fixed it for me, fine in-game, horrid in menu still though.

just change fmouseheadingsensitivity to 0.1000 or even 0.1100.in skyrim prefs ini in your documents.then don't touch the sensitivity settings in game cause it will revert

It's very low sensitivity. No lagging whatsoever.
Nope, windowed mode doesnt help any.
Well, I reinstalled the game, so hopefully I have the latest patch :/

I just recently uninstalled FXAA post processing injector and starting using Realistic Lighting without Post Processing mod and my mouse lag reduced 90%. It also reduced loading times dramatically in 1.3 patch. I used the installer so I had to uninstall FXAA injector in Windows control panel.

heres Realistic Lighting mod if your interested:

I dunno. I tried this, didnt help.

Changed fMouseHeadingSensitivity to 1.0000. Didnt help.
Kept sensitivty at 1.0000, tried the realistic lighting. It worked, but the sensitivity was way too high.
I quit, change it to something lower. Stays slow as hell.
Make it closer to 1.0000. No change.
Put it back to 1.0000. No change.
Turn off lighting. No change.

uuugghhhgdfgsdfhsdh

p.s. it only changed during the game, the menus were still slow as hell.

I tried changing the .ini under documents\my games\skyrim instead of through steam, and it worked!!

Except.. the menus still slow as hell :/
